My DS did not tell me about this....strange!!!
U mean din tell you who r the 1st 3 position and best in level in the Pri 3? The best in subjects and level are from his class so probably the teacher announced that.
This yr, top 2 Pri 3 classes are 3M and 3A2.Dino mummy:
They will only receive their report book tomorrow... :whut:
no news of CCA too....
according to my dd, her FT told them there will be 44 pupils each in the 2 top classes, and they are 3M & 3N...any parents know about this? :?
My kid oso has not get his report book. Still dun noe what is his final grade for English. His teacher announced who are int he 1st 3 position and who attained the best in level, best in subjects. -
What are the classes in Pr3? And how are they placed?
My girl said "M is the best class". Quite confusing. -
It is just M n N - 2 best class for P3 nxt year.
-
Yes, and there is no 3A2 next year, 6 classes only.

You mean they squeeze 240 into 6 classes? :yikes: -
40 in each class would be quite a tight squeeze. My daughter didn't get her 1st CCA choice
she ended up in Chinese dances. Anyone else in Chinese dance? -
yes, the 2 top classes already taken up 88 places, iβm not sure how the rest will be allocated to the remaining 4 classes.
Probably may have lesser students for weaker classes so as to enable the teacher to focus and help them better, jmho.
As for the CCA, did yr kids being selected according to their first choice? -

Is yr dd's first choice happens to be in one of the recommended list? The school seems to look at the child's strength for that particular CCA rather than their interest. So it looks like they will 'skip' yr 1st choice, if it's not in the recommended list and go for the 'recommended' one if you place it as 2nd or even 3rd choice. This happened to my dd's classmate. -

And the rest of the classes, are the places randomly allocated or is there some form of merit system? -
blue-march:
Yes, my dd is in the same plight as your dd's classmate. Chinese dance was one of the recommended CCAs and she chose it as her 4th or last choice. I would have preferred for her to be in the library or food and nutrition club.preggie:
