Actually twinning class is made up of students selected by MOE based on their round 2 GEP test results, ie, not all students who go through to round 2 will be selected. These students are placed together with the GEP classes where they take GEP Chinese, Social Studies and all other non-examinable subjects together with the GEPpers. They are only separated from the GEPpers for Maths, English and Science lessons. Their class size is small - max 25, and they benefit from the teaching pedagogy of the GEP curriculum.

There may be some changes in the twinning class next year, According to NH principal, twinning class may not be doing the same Social studies as GEP. This is yet to be confirm

Yes, the principal has said this 2 years ago too as a lot of parents complain about the heavy project work of Social Studies..

          Hi, all the parents here.

My daughter is in NH p1 now and will go to p2 next year.

I know there will be streaming in p3 according to p2 result. I just wonder:

What is the p2 result depends on?

There isn’t any formal exams in p2, right? Is it only based on routine assessments of p2?

Is there a formal exam at the end of p2 for steaming?

          Thanks a lot!

I think there is SA2 for P2 and the pupils will be streamed based on this SA2 results.

50% based on small test, spelling. 50% based on year end paper. The year end paper include oral test and written test.

I believe the school only receive a list of names from MOE to be offered the twinning program.

After the 2nd round test, MOE will notify via the schools those who make it to GEP. Thereafter, MOE will finally give a list of those students who qualify for twinning program to the school. That's what I understand. As far as I know, only Nan Hua and Nanyang has this twinning program.
