Well… I hope it’ll be easy, but somehow I don’t think it will. This will be the last year with this syllabus, why not make it harder?

I guess it'll be easier than the Maths:


1) It's the last year of the old syllabus. So kids would've loads of practice using last 4 years papers.

2) The general saying, if Maths is killer, then Science would be easy.

For the sanity of kids out there, I hope I'm right.

In the past, after each of their PSLE, every of my personal guinea pigs would tell me off for wasting their time in doing the past year papers because hardly any question from the past years papers came out. Science was always the paper that they were least confident in doing well because they weren't sure of the answer.

What they told me was that they loaded their answers with as many \"keywords\" as possible. They would divide each given line into 2 multiplying the length of their answer by 2.

The centre line shows that the object is triangular in shape as in technical drawing.The colour of the object is immaterial.

However, if the pyramid is painted fully white (just imagine it being dumped into a pot of white paint and then being taken out), won't the lines drawn not be discerned? I fully agree with you that in technical drawings, the answer should be B and C, but I think this is a trick question, to see which pupils understand the concept of pyramids.

and ask:

Based on the diagrams above, which of the following statements between animals X(mosquito) and Y(grasshopper) is/are true?

A Both the adults do not have wings
B Both the young do not live in water
C Both the adults do not give birth to their young alive
D Both are pests in at least one stage of their life cycles

(1) D only
(2)A and B only
(3)B and C only
(4)C and D only

what should the answer be? Should we use the info given in diagram to derive the answer or use our general knowledge??? Would greatly value help!

and if pollination takes place between 2 different types of flowers, will the flowers develop into fruits????

It should help one to understand plan view, front elevation and end elevation as in technical drawing.The colour of the prism does not matter.

You are really one of the best fathers out in this world today. You learn how to solve questions from the books and teach them to your son, YOURSELF, and also help other people, like me, on websites. I have never seen a more commited father than you.
