Wow, nice to know that Anderson, my alma mater has waiting list.

      Hi pherie,
May I ask how you manage to transfer your girl? I heard that every school operates differently but for my case, I guess my chances very slim as I heard from a parent that she was on waiting list since his son was P1 and his boy is already P4 now.

I would like to transfer my girl to Riverview primary school due to my new home location is at sengkang area. Next year she will attend P6 level, do you suggest I should transfer her or remain as her current school ?

Most schools discourage taking in of transfer students at P6 to minimise disruption. Even if you manage to get a transfer, you have to think of the following: 1) will your dd be placed in a class that is best suited for her abilities in this crucial PSLE year; 2) will she be able to adjust quickly to the new environment, new friends etc.

My child successful transfer is to Hougang Primary, not Anderson by the way..

Anyway, I called up Hougang last Monday and was told no slot but I can submit for waitlist, which I did. At the school, I gave them my child's result list, and filled up a school transfer from. They told me to call them this week if I did not receive any call from them.

Last Fri, I called, they say they are still processing results.. I get my husband to called on Monday (who asked generally if there's vacancies), they say no vacancies for P5 (4 standard subject).

This Wed, I called them again asking for result of my child's transfer application. Same answer... but said she'll check with Principal again as they are still processing the option forms. Half hour later they called me again and told me there is a slot for my child and asked to go down and get it processed. I was overjoyed. Guess we were pretty lucky.

Hi, I m a bit of dilemma now. I have applied transfer of school for my daughter due to re-location of address. I have just received 3 calls from the following schools:

              1. CHIJ (TYP)
              2. Nan Chiau
              3. Hon Wen

All applications are successful. Now my wife and I are deciding which school to go to by 18 Nov. Anyone has any recommendation for the above schools?

:yikes: Relocation? But 1 and 3 are so far from 2, right? 🤷 So, where are you relocated to?

                    Thanks for your clarification.

Based on past years' P1 registration statistics, (2) is the most popular choice among the three schools.

                    What are your considerations?

Academic performance . Are all 3 schools SAP? I only know Hong Wen is.
