Hi. Does anyone know what the "pupil’s handbook" is? It is mentioned in the list of things to bring on first day of school (see last page of juniors handbook)


Are they referring to the juniors handbook itself?

I have the same thought! Maybe we should just pack that in. Perhaps they will be briefing the children on the school rules?

Quite disappointed with the orientation. There wasn't a tour of the facilities (altho I got my ds to bring us to his locked classroom after the talks) and the parents weren't grouped into the classes. Had no way of knowing who the form teacher is and who the other parents are.


Calling parents from 1.3! anyone out there?

Hi. Just an update. The bookshop was taking orders for nametags. Seems like no need to wait for class teacher after all. 3 weeks to produce.

Hi all, i am thinking of giving $2 pocket money each day. Is it too much or little?

I’m not giving any for a start. First week is catered food. After that, I’ll be packing for him.

There are teachers attached to each class…not sure if they are the form teachers?


@flabbymum…our children’ classroom is at lvl 2 right? My DD told me…

@lilipitz…I aso thinking of giving $2 a day. I think shld be enough. If too much $$, they may "contribute" to the bookshop

Hi mashy - Agree with you the orientation can be improved! I did not get to my son's class today...was there until the dismissal when it started to rain.


Taobaby - My son mentioned his class is 'far' from the hall...and he forgotten how to get there! Hence, we were not able to see his class...:(

Liliptz - Thanks for the name information, guess I will have to return tomorrow to get this done...else, 3 weeks is kinda long wait...

After seeing the mixture of students, having some sense of orientation and seeing the expectations on the school, I guess we really have to prepare our children (and ourselves) to face this new phase of life! We are first time parents with first and only child in a Primary school...so, the anxiety is there...I am starting to feel worry for our son...he is so used to being pampered, now, not sure if he could survive P1....
