Yup, the school is SAP. But some non-SAP schools also start HCL at P1.
hehe thanks! oh wow! the sch is SAP right which is why they start with higher chinese? I read the P1 slides for Chinese, they will do enrichment if the kids show really good results for chinese. HMT is available P3 onwards i think? faintz questions which I should have asked yesterday....
I think the difference is that SAP focus alot on Chinese heritage and culture. Plus I think for SAP, all offered HCL and P5 will asked if wish to drop, while non-SAP will ask if wish to take it up.
Yours have Q&A session? So nice. -
SAHM_TAN:
Hmm, they had an enquiry corner where parents could ask questions. I do know one thing, the teachers are quite strict (even towards parents lol)

No.. not using Higher Chinese for P1..Castle House, Panpac is a subsidiary of Marshall Cavendish Publishing Group. So yours should be the right one.
My Chinese textbk is by PanPac but on the cover it's Marshall too. This was sold by the school bookshop.
Is your school teaching Higher Chinese in P1? My Chinese textbook is Higher Chinese. If it's the same, I will post the pic for you to verify

From the letter, govt is giving S$200/- for the edusave account..SAHM_TAN:
bigsnoopy, the 2nd tier misc fees can be paid using edusave. But I'm planning to use edusave to pay for excursion / enrichment stuff, easier for me, don't need to pass money to DD1, school just deduct with my consent, so not touching it for 2nd tier misc fees. I just use GIRO to pay for standard and 2nd tier.
Er... How much edusave they giving? -
SAHM_TAN:
Castle House, P1 not touching social studies in your school?
From the booklist, I don't see any textbook for Social Studies.. -
Castle House:
Castle House, it is called \"Inquiring into our world Activity Book 1\", they use that for social studies, do you have that?SAHM_TAN:
