Dear all, just to share my happiness here... I had received a call from BPPS (the sch that i PV) on Thursday 3pm and the Admin told me that there is a vacancy for my Dd1... Im so happy from that day start until i sleep at 3am that day :snooze: .

Went to the orientation yesterday and know that the kids had to know so many things :faint: Not like my genaration (80s) bo chap... :evil:

Got to settle her transfer school on Monday and there are so many forms that i haven read... hehehe...

Ya it is different from our times , nowadays they need to learn more before heading off to P1

how about sch bus, do they have one ard the area?

There will be no sch nus for her So my mum has to her to sch and i will fetch her after my work... Hai
really hope to move into my new hse by Dec 2013 or i will :faint: in 2014 as DD1 will be in the morning if we r still staying at Teban... :xedfingers:

Most likely for LSP, they mentioned that if the girls show advance knowledge then they have different arrangments but no classroom shuffling.

Ya same here, think it goes for a month on fun learning before starting fully on academics so that the kids doesn't cry and feel \"replusive\" to studying.

Pls share what are the arrangements if you DD1 is in the advance class. I'm very curious what are the extra :evil:

Hmm, they had an enquiry corner where parents could ask questions. I do know one thing, the teachers are quite strict (even towards parents lol)

Anyone received letter fr mcys? Regarding we need to close the CDA by end of this year, n we can opt to withdaw the cash or transfer to post sec sch account...any idea what's post sec school acc for? What's edusave? How come I dun hv this acc?

Peipei.. have not received the letter.. likely will opt to withdraw cash.. and use to top up the edusave fund instead of waiting till then.. can use..

I have not rec the letter yet.

Here's more infor about the post secondary acc. http://www.moe.gov.sg/initiatives/post-secondary-education-account/eligibility-and-usage/#usage

Edusave acct will be opened by end Jan, it's auto by gvt/MOE.

Gvt will contribute yrly to the acct and can be used for school's excursion, enrichment progs and to pay for 2nd tier misc fees.

Sec level also have edusave. Then if acct still have money will be put into Post sec school acct.

I'm still considering. It will earn interest and if not used when in uni / poly, it will transfer to CPF OA when the child turns 30 yos.

Hiaz same here, come 2013 both DD1 and DD2 will be morning session so planning to get a place at paya lebar/hougang by sep 2013 :xedfingers: if not we can hug each other and :faint:
