Drop RGS, choose NGHS as top choice follow by NJC or DHS as nxt if distance is not a problem.
Thankiew~! Thanks for your instant and helpful reply!
By the way, why drop out RGS? RGS's cop is lower than NYGH.
By placing RGS as her top choice u are putting her at a disadvantage for entry to NGHS. Cop of RGS does not include HMT unlike NGHS.
:thankyou:

insider:
Aiyah, you have to post this and make my heart ache for these children, especially #3 and #4. I think #3 will do well in life one day, #4 will be well taken care of as long as she matures up. #2 - quite sad. How come parents so busy? #1? Hm... what can I say? He is already maxed out, but his parents will take care of him no matter what happens. I hope he does not burn out.I have no kids taking PSLE this year but can share results of 4 kids whom I see them from babies til now.
First Child - GEP - scored 248. Parents and child extremely disappointed with the score as the expectation was at least 260. Anyway, parents managed to secure for him into IB school with DSA but I don't foresee he will do there in there coz his 'GEP' was 'tutored' out one and so in my eyes, not counted. Foresee him to suffer a lot in that IB school.
Second Child - a doctor's son - scored 181. Parents and child acceptable to the results coz child has not been performing well all this while. Child playing a lot of handheld electronic games since young (and I wonder why parents didn't restrain). Nevertheless, I still see this as a bright child with high potential of 'waking up' and reaching the sky.
Third Child - average family child with two parents working very hard to make ends meet - scored 216. A cheering results for the family as child has no tuitions and no parental academic support at all and all these years has to fend for himself (go home alone, prepare own food, etc).
Fourth Child - background same as third child - secured 174. A playful girl but intelligent (putting 'cleverness in the wrong place' kind). Assessed not those 'hopeless' types. Will be under my 'mentorship' to strategise for O levels exams next week... (using the right strategy most of the time can sail through exams with 'reasonable' results).
Congrats to all who secure colourful results! -

DHS is a distance from AMK. Maybe put that as third choice then? Hours are long in secondary school so you would want to choose a school that's nearer home.
So what IP schools would you recommend for my DD based on her results? Inexperienced me. >.<
Clear cut case, place NGHS as first follow by NJC and third choice is ST Nicks. -
Hello everyone!
My DS got A* for 3 subjects (he is exempted from MT) and got 255. I thought itโs pretty low for A* for all 3 subj- can anyone shed any light if this is normal ? I was just wondering if his score has been disadvantaged due to his exemption from MT - anyone with any insights ? Thanks!! -
Stressed Mama:
It does sound a bit low, but could it be that his A* are on the lower end? Or that this year's EMS papers are all easy?Hello everyone!

Thanks for your advice. ST. Nicks is an IP school? If itโs an IP sch, then whatโs its JC? -

St. Nic is not an IP school yet, only starting first batch of year 1 in 2013. JC unknown at this time.

St. Nicks is not an IP sch yet, only starts in yr 2013. Anw, u shld not get below NJC. -
Mdm KY:
Based on 259+3, NYGH first choice, NJC 2nd choice. For third choice, if you don't mind a non-IP school, SCGS or MGS. Both are ini the vicinity of NYGH and NJC so distance isn't an issue. You can put St Nick's as a 4th choice as that's closer to home.
