      Daddy 😧

Confirm not the sch's contribution liao... Cos reported \"she put in 6 to 7 hours of studying after school everyday in the run up to PSLE.\"

After sch still got so much time meh? :yikes:

Maybe she does not need that much sleep?

If morning session can lah, just no fun time for that 1-2 months lor. 12 hours study, 8 hours sleep, 4 hrs distributed for eating, bathing, toilet and rest the eyes time.

usually P4 - P6 are AM or morning , thought usually when P6 they put in extra hours....she put in all her time I guess practising..? but it paid off šŸ˜„

Aiyah, now schools expect parents to 'partner' them in education!
Last yr, my son's P1 FT told me during the mid-yr MTP session,\"Mrs X, since your son is very good at maths, why not teach him p2 and p3 syllabus YOURSELF now?\"
          My jaw dropped lor :rotflmao:
It's not just primary school hor......

My DS's kindy told me his classmates know the next level work liao from home and suggest I do the same. I told her I can't because I have 3 kids and the teacher must teach.

If able to teach at home, what for I pay teachers to teach in school.

Some are taking the term partnership too far

Not to frighten you, preparation for PSLE work starts in P5. Science is taught from P3, and in PSLE, it will be tested from P3 - P6.

DS has a teacher for each subject, and one of his teachers told me that during the PTM. I'm trying to decide if I should let the P know.......

I am braveheart ,not frightened at all :rotflmao: (joking :p)

I would say preparation starts P4.. i keep seeing parents at the maths place, talking about how their kids start performing badly when they starts P4 and keeps pressuring the tuition teachers to give extra lessons... :scared:

Same here, for teaching, they have separate subject teachers. DD's chinese teacher part times as tuition teacher so she says she has everything covered for them for P1 so dont need enrichment.

Same thing for english and maths.... they even told me if I am worried, I shouldn't be and not paid extra outside...

Hmm, maybe you can ask other parents if they had the same comment?
