I went to buy uniform today and the lady said the P1-2 uniform should end 4 fingers above the knee. Does that sound right? I was thinking to myself, above knee for convent schools πŸ™‚

Mummies, do the girls usually wear singlets or camisoles under the pinafores?

No,lah....not 4 fingers above knee..before half term the uniform will turn into a mini dress!!! :rotflmao:
I bought 2 fingers below knee last year..and end of the year above the knee already!!these gals really do \"shoot up\" my gal wears the \"boxer\"type panties and camisoles underneath their uniforms but not with PE attire.but sometimes she does complain about how warm it is.... πŸ˜„

I asked that Aunty twice and she insisted she knew what she was talking about. My DH raised his eyebrows and joked \"Wah, Convents so havoc nowadays?\" :rotflmao: Lucky I bought the longer pinafore :imanangel:

Hello Phoenix
I \"fell into the trap\" of buying uniforms that became toooo short. DD's dress became super \"havoc looking\" after only 3/4 year. She kept complaining to me ( starting from July) that her dress is tooo short and she even \"kena\" warning from the student helper in school! However, her lazy mum cannot be bother to go all the way to Toa Payoh to get her new sets of dress. So end up, she has to tolerate till Nov lah. But finally I went to buy her 3 more new sets few days ago and guess what, i have to up-size her dresss! From size 26 to 30 now.So, please try to get yr DD a moderate size. :rahrah:

Think I'm prob e only mommy who has yet to purchase text books & uniform for my DD...

Uniform

Guess the safest is to get longer; will \"shorten\" it to knee length now by folding & sewing e hem. In this way, I can adjust as my DD grows; don't need to keep changing uniform.

Books/Stationery

I am in the midst of ordering from Pacific Bookstore and HB saw the following items.. He asked if it's r necessary to purchase & what's the use??? :?: He thinks it's not necessary but lazy mommy jus wana get things done once & for all.
• Set of White board / marker
Index Sheet
Art Bag
Model Template
Assorted Color word cards
My 1st picture dictionary
Longman word by word dictionary
•
Mommy to 3js, the dictionaries are in the optional list. Someone has mentioned that dictionaries are useless. Considering how expensive it is, I am not gonna get it. Think the White board, colour cards and index sheets are compulsory. So better get all those items that are listed urn compulsory.
