The problem with my/our equally academically capable local kids - they do not see need to work too hard.

Now, serious business, we know that 265 points can top the class here, I am sure kids of Kiasu parents have that chance. My son is P5 next yr, got roughly 1 1/2 years to run towards the finishing line. Without tuition, I need to help him improve this Chinese and maintain the rest. I am sure he will get there.

                  yasui1210,
there is supposed to be a CCA exhibition day (during recess) and the students can sign up on the spot and then the Form teachers will distribute consent form there after (that was for my time 3yrs back).
alternatively, look at the list here
                  http://www.lianhuapri.moe.edu.sg/cos/o.x?c=/wbn/pagetree&func=view&rid=63540

then look for the teacher's incharge name of the CCA that you are interested. look up the teacher's email contact here http://www.lianhuapri.moe.edu.sg/cos/o.x?c=/wbn/pagetree&func=view&rid=68818
and email the teacher regarding your interest in the CCA.
for my time back then, i only liaise with the Form teacher who forwarded the list of CCAs and email to me and also offered to help us liaise with the teacher. 🙂

do note that certain CCAs only have recruitment from P3 onwards.

Hi, I am new here. My girl is in Pri 5 and my boy is in Pri 1. I found that Lian Hua standards are getting higher. My girl is struggling now. Advantage of setting high could be good so that at least when comes to PSLE they can score well. But for those struggling may affect their confidence and morale and interest.

I heard a lot of parents also half way of Pri sch journey, they switch schools. My girl does have tuition too. I also don’t know how and what to do. I am thinking of switching school for my boy too. Currently only LH has single session for P1 and P2.

I think school’s academic standard is determined by its students.
