          thank you.

I agree that "PSLE is a pretty bad indicator of the capability of a child. The math paper alone can change the entire order. "

Thanks, Dharma. The statistics have been pretty consistent over the years, regardless of whether the paper was tough or easy. Interesting. I wonder if the number of A* have also been consistent. Dont' think that figure is published though.

Hi atutor2001. Can you share with us the performance of the top 2007 to present so we can understand better. Thanks.
No hard feeling to anyone. I am just one of the super kay poh parents.

Generally, the top PSLE student will remain among the top all the way to A level, performing better than the PRC, Vietnam scholars. They are a class above everyone else. I don't think it will happen for 2007, based on the last 2 years results - though the results are still better than the average.

Hi. I'm just trying to make sure I understand you correctly. Are you saying that the top PSLE student of 2007 has not been performing as strongly as expected of her in Sec 1 & 2?

In that school, their GPA are about the same for the top students - its not an indicator. You need to know the students personally to know who are the best in the cohort. That is how I kay poh for the info.

Seems strange! Çause the mean and median GPA of 2007 PSLE batch at that school much higher than that of the previous 3 batches.

Cannot compare like that lah. You should know better what (I think your kid is there right?). The GPA is a great joke.

In the earlier years they even have common test on different dates. What do you think would happen? Some silly head .... and was stopped.

Depends on the questions and how much hints .... Personally I know of kids who never study also can get GPA 4 for certain assessments. However, among the students, they know who are the best.
