I sent my kids to Tony Buzan for a while, it helped make my older one interested in mind-mapping and it did help him in his note-taking for science. However, I find it better as pure enrichment.

Does that help in your child's section B process skill and is there any improvement in your child's result? I found that their material is very brief not that details. Thanks.

        Hi

My daughter is generally good in Science and topped her level in SA1 in P5. But in SA2 she scored only 80 though the level highest is 89. She takes science tuition in Mind Streacher for last one year but I didn’t find that is very effective though she topped the class in SA1.

I would request parents to suggest some enrichment centre/tuition centre who will prepare her for PSLE. As far as the concept is concern I can also help her as I am from science background so I am looking for some streching on the subject which includes rigorous practice session, challenging questions and answering technique.

As PSLE is just 10/11 months to go so I am bit nervous now so please suggest me asap. I am in the east side of singapore.

Understand that X-Factor Quotient (http://www.xfq.com.sg) conducts both Maths & Science classes, and that the Maths tutors are ex-LL and the Science tutor is ex-Smart Science Lab. Anyone has any feedback on the Science program? Thanks.

              Hi,

Any recommendation for Science enrichment for upper primary?
People always comment that it is challenging and tough to teach your own children. It is not easy to be a loving parent and at the same, an effective tutor. I make it again this year. Both my children score A* in their PSLE Science.

I am a NUS graduate, experienced n specialised in teaching Upper Primary Sci. full time. I have been teaching for more than 15 years. In Dec 2011, I will be organising a headstart program which is 2hrs each session for a period of 6 days in the East. Motivated pupils or those from top schools are strongly encouraged to join. contact me if u need more info.

I went to Mind Stretcher (high achiever). You should ask her to read the notes given and memorize them, not just to do the worksheets.

Perceptum is not bad. Heard from a friend that her dd improved a lot. I am also currently looking for a centre. Not sure to go for Perceptum or Smartlab
