Ohh....DD has more choices than DS in this case
Yes, you should consider SCGS, MGS, Cresent Girl's. As to what sequence, I think you are in a better position to decide depending on your preference (girl's sch vs mixed vs sap), distance from your pl, transportation, CCA offered, special prog etc. Best to get child involved and she evaluate and discuss with you her preference.[/quote]
Thank you. We are not christian, should we choose MSG. Do you know roughly how many percent students are christian, will a non christian feel uncomfortable in that envioronment? -

:? Why unlikely to get into HCI? COP 2010 is 257. He has 257+2 , should have high chance.joe0599:
My DS has 257+2 and we intend to put following choices:
1)HCI
2) NJC
3) VS IP
4) DHS
5) ACSI
6) VS O level
We live around Kallang.
Any comments from all?
Unlikely to get into HCI, so drop it. If u are prepared to travel place NJC as top choice follow by VS IP and DHS. If distance is a consideration, move VS iP to top follow by DHS. -

Last yr cop was relatively low. Pupil will be taking a chance and placing NJC at risk! -

Depends on how open you are and how comfortable your gal will be to attend service. If not too certain, you can just drop that school from your list.

If HCI is your dream school, go ahead and put it as your first choice. If he doesn't get into HCI, they'll consider him for NJC. If he still can't make the cut for NJC they'll consider his third choice etc. I see you've put DHS as your 4th choice. If he doesn't make it to VS IP it's highly unlikely that he'll get into DHS bec DHS' COP was 257 last year. So basically, make sure you have very safe options for your 5th and 6th choices. My DS has 257+2 and we intend to put following choices:
1)HCI
2) NJC
3) VS IP
4) DHS
5) ACSI
6) VS O level

My DD scored 249+2. We intend to put Cedar as her 1st choice. Do you think if she stands any chance? Her choices in sequence are:-
1) Cedar (not sure if IP or non-IP)
2) St Nicholas
3) Chung Cheng High
4) SCGS
5) TKGS
6) Crescent Girls
Any recommendation or suggestion in the order sequence?
We stayed in the North. Please feel free if any gd/bad comments.
Thanks for all your help

Hi, I would to ask, do you know what is the highest COP for RGS in the recent years?
263 - 2009 Sec 1 intake
260 - 2010 Sec 1 intake
260 - 2011 Sec 1 intake
I do not know previous to that, sorry. But there could be others here who might know.
BTW, there are a few people missing this year, esp 25hourmaid. Last year I was a silent reader and remember her advising and guiding a lot of students and parents. Also where are Vanilla_cake, brenda10, lizawa, verykiasu2010... :boogie: -

2009 - 259
2010 - 257
2011 - 257
But in 2009 most school COPs were higher than 2010 COPs, meaning COPs dropped by 2-3 pts for 2010 sec 1 intake. Some rose in 2011, but HCI remained same for 2010 and 2011. So if the child is keen on the school with 257+2, I think should give it a go. Also I feel NJC COP may drop a bit this year as they have given out lesser than normal DSA offers, which opens up more vacancies for Sec 1 posting.

Seem st nick the time table is very pack, with CCA, where got time to attend third foreign language. Sure crash with some activties. Class end at 2.20pm, still need to rush to MOELC for language.
