Maris Stella have a more English culture.

And they have affiliated kids, which will
      generally lower the quality
      NCHS has a Chinese culture.
Your kid must be a more Chinese-speaking kid.

Ya, he is a more-to-chinese child but his primary school is at MSHS(Pri) and he is used to all boys.

Then in my opinion, he should stick to

          Maris.
Many of his frens will be there. And he’s
          used to all boys.

The trouble is he likes both school and doesn’t know whether to choose MSHS or NCHS:?

I’m from MSHS(Pri), class of 2009, and continued to MSHS(sec) I would say stick with MSHS because he has his friends there, able to settle in more quickly. It would be a huge transition from all-boys to a mixed school.

I’m also undecided, my son has similar grade. My son’s from mixed sch so I don’t know how he is going to thrive in boy’s school as he’s already a bit rebellious now. But i’m also concerned that NCHS is only SAP next year so they still have normal stream kids in the school and whether there may be any bad influence.

IIRC, Maris Stella’s O level results have not been too well in recent years. Perhaps MOE should also consider removing SAP school who is under performing.

The school's O level results for the year 2010 were commendable, with an average L1R5 12.35 making it Band 3 school, one of the top 20 schools offering the O level route. It is completely untrue that the school has not been doing well.
