      wooks:
Thank you, understood the moe part.

      My senecio will occurr.

For the the case, it is better for pupil A to select better schools for the first four choices. Anyway if he cannot get it, he stands better chance at the 5th. Then, pupil B still stands lower chance. If pupil A fails to get in the first four choice and falls to 5th choice, then pupil B will not be able to get his first choice.

      Is my understanding right?
Yes. When I said your scenario would not occur, I meant the last place would not even be a possibility for the student with 221. Rather, it would be a fight among students with 230.

So it is like higher T-score pupil fighting for places first, then follow by lower T-score pupil. But if PupilA places all 6 choices for good schools for fighting a place, it is very risky for him, he may not get into any of the 6 choices. So it is wise to use 1st or 2nd choice to try for a higher/better school and the rest of the choices, choose those that his T-score can sure get into the that school?

Exactly! 🙂 you don't want to end up with a sch not of your choosing (which may be very far away from your home).

tough to choose, how we know T-score 230 is good enough? Based on last year agg., may not be accurate for this year. If there are many pupil scored >230 to say 236, choosing Pasir Ris secondary, then this Pupil A may not even get in if there are no vacancy left, right?

Usually the COP will not vary by more than 3 points from year to year so it’s a fairly good gauge. For 1st choice, can try +3 followed by +2, etc

If Pupil A T-score 230, chosen the near min agg of that school say 232, then, does that mean if got in, he will likely to be in the last class?

It depends on the school's practice. Some schools will rank the students based on their PSLE scores and place them in classes accordingly. Others will mix all the students up and have mixed ability classes.

my daughter wants to try for first 3 options that has higher COP follow by 4-6 within her COP. Is this advisable? What happens if another applicant who choose 1st option for that school and hers is 4th option, will she have a equal chance?

Posting is purely by merit first, followed by choice. So if your dd's PSLE score is higher than the next applicant, all her options will be considered before that next applicant. So what you are proposing is safe.

If your dd shares the exact same score as the next candidate, right down to the last decimal, then the girl who put the school as 1st choice will have priority.

Have few school in mind but not sure to put which one as 3rd or 4th option; first 2 options intend to try to school with higher COP.

Should I select school based on the banding of the school? My DD has 231+2 and we are staying in East - Pasir Ris. Any recommendation?
                        Thank you very much.
