41.3% of the whole P6 cohort (including GEPpers) scored 250 marks and above for PSLE 2011.
That translates to about 162 out of 392 P6 girls.
We can safely assume that all the GEPpers scored 250 and above and there are three classes, meaning about 75 GEPpers. That means about 87 mainstreamers scored 250 and above.

I believe more mainstreamers scored 250 and above than 87 because I know that there are some Geppers who scored 24X due to poor chinese results. exact number im not so sure but should be at least 5. Sorry, no offence meant.

Not offended. That means more than 90 mainstreamers scored 250 and above. It's just an estimated guess anyway. No matter what, they are still RGPS girls.

Luckily, most of the GEPpers already have CO, otherwise they may have difficulty getting into their dream school.

I am sure none taken by any. It is very possible for some geppers' and mainstreamers' scores to overlap. Thanks for sharing your insight.

Sometimes I really feel that MOE should hv separate papers for PSLE, those under Gifted Programme are already branded as Gifted and are under a different programme besides they are well ahead of the mainstream pupils so it does not seem very fair when a GEP student turn out top student.

Oh that's not good. Also, are there actually 75 GEPpers in P6 this year? There could be fewer which means more mainstreamers scored 250 and above.

              Thanks Ribbon4's infomation.

The Good result showed the RGPS strength, not only from GEPers, but also from all RGPS girls.

Hi my DD is from RGPS, mainstream, and she is among those who took her PSLE this yr. I just wanted to give due recognition here that some of the teachers there who teach the mainstream classes are really very dedicated and hardworking teachers. My DD has no enrichment classes other than MT, she scored 267+2 (her class av score was 259.2) and I attributed her achievement to her hardwork as well as the teachers' guidance and patience during her 6 yrs there πŸ™‚

That's fantastic! Looks like most of the class will be making their way to RGS/NYGH. πŸ˜„
