Choco05:
:thankyou:
No, we don't have. We have this chinese culture book that we are required to read and answer the booklet questions. I don't think anyone actually read the whole thing though, we just flipped to where the answer isMummySTay:
Hi Choco05, is there any compulsory Chinese classics that year 1 girls must read. I understand RI does 三国演义. What about RGS?
Does any other parent know?
Yes RGS slacks too. -

Dear all,
I would appreciate your comments and advice on whether my intepretation of the COP announced by the Secondary Schools is correct.
For example, If Cedar IP Programme has a cut off point of 253, my DD with a 255 score will still be accepted even if she puts Cedar IP as her 5th choice and she is not accepted by her 1st 4 choices of NYPS (262), RGS (260), NJC (257) and DHS (256)? I am worried that she will not be accepted even if she has a higher score than the announced COP because she opted for the school under her 5th or 6th choice.
Thanks much in advance for any insight that you can shed on this matter. -

Yes, you are correct. The MOE computer sorts first by merit then by choices. So the system will give you a school before moving on to the student ranked after your dd.Dear all,

Hi Jtoh,
Would you know during the appeal process, is it by merit or on a first-come-first-serve basis? DS has 226 and we are thinking of appealing to MSHS whose COP is 231.
Thank you very much.
