May I know where you obtain this info?VooVoo:
Oh...and almost all GEP score above 250?!?
98-99 of them. 98 of them got Math A* too! -

About 45% of NYPS p6 pupils got 250 or above. If I am not wrong, it is 218. There are maximum 100 geppers got 250 or above. It means that more than 100 mainstreamers got 250 or above. Well done!
So is it 45% or 40%?? 218 out of how many in the cohort? :scratchhead: -
VooVoo:
I see, so excluding GEP, 26% of mainstream scored above 250...
How does this compare with other \"top\" schools and is this better historically?
Sorry, just curious to know more about NYPS...
I went to kaypoh around..
RGPS has 41.3%
PH has ~40%
TaoNan ~31%
Rulang ~16%
Kong Hwa ~16%
Looks like NY has the highest if the %tage is indeed 45%.. -

But they have more GEPPERs ...VooVoo:

Just to clarify, I heard that PH has 26% (>= 250) this year, not 40%

40% is really a bridge too far for a non-GEP school.
I also heard that NH has more than 40% (>= 250). -
BPPS had 12% who score higher than 250

I heard that it is "worse" to be in the "middle" class…

good strategy to take care of the bottom class coz they need to maintain their reputation. like that, any child in NYPS will get enough attention... at least for the school name's sake.
NYPS has for quite some years already - maintaining at least 40+% each year scoring 250 and aboveVooVoo:

they have the \"best\" teachers teaching the top AND bottom class ... target for top class is to get full class A star, while target for bottom class is to get full with A.....hope they continue to maintain the strategy to take care of the top and bottom and the middle class
