PE attire is the same for all, worn during weekly PE lesson. House Tees are worn during house activities.

2. Informal Attire : Polo T-Shirt & Bermudas (3-4 sets)
3. Formal Attire : Shirt & Long Pants & Tie (1 set)

curious, seems like got 2 routes to enter nush high …


- first batch intake (more for GEP pupils)

for those who DSA into nus high earlier successfully, is there a minimum COP that child must meet after release of psle results? if a child fail to meet COP, does it mean DSA becomes void ? is it 250 ?

- second batch intake (to fill up remaining vacancies, more for mainstream)

for those who rely purely on psle score to come in (non-DSA), what is this year COP, subjected to passing stringent interview test plus obtain (A* in both Maths & Science) ? is it 264 (same as last year) ?

Saw that book list only has books for 2 subjects :
- MT/HMT and
- Biology
Not sure if there is another list to be given later or the rest based on only \"lecture notes\". Even during my uni days with lecture notes, there were also reference text books. Looks like the teaching \"method/concept\" will be very different; I hope DS can adapt to it. :scratchhead:

- MT/HMT and
- Biology
Not sure if there is another list to be given later or the rest based on only \"lecture notes\". Even during my uni days with lecture notes, there were also reference text books. Looks like the teaching \"method/concept\" will be very different; I hope DS can adapt to it. :scratchhead:

Usually, the lecture notes actually do suffice, or at least for the syllabus in foundation years. There are definitely reference texts, but why waste money when the school already painstakingly bought them in the library (there are even some titles that have ten over copies in the library).
Some books are definitely a must in the later years, advanced and specialization years. But for now, the foundation's more important than the misleading, confusing topics in the text.

But if you're truly concerned and want some \"enrichment\" for your kid (and here, I'm not encouraging anything), may I refer you to

Biology - Campbell and Reece

Physics - Young and Freedman or Jewett and Serway

Ya, these books are definitely not for beginners. You need to achieve beyond O level standard (preferably A level) to digest them meaningfully. These are textbooks for 1st year of uni. Furthermore, some of them change their edition pretty fast (2-3 years), so it's better to buy them when you actually need them.
