Yes, you can buy during BookFest but be prepared to go alone so that you don't have to keep looking out for the kids...it's very crowded.
Thanks will it be good to buy during Bookfest in dec?mummy of 2:

Actually there is a separate thread for Eng and Chinese assessment books...but can understand it may be hard to list down.
I thought I could avoid this event but hubby said he wants to get another 3M polarizing table lamp for daughter...it's 20% cheaper during BookFest. I was the guinea pig for several years...using several brands of table lamp and eyes were painful after 30 minutes. Convinced him to get 3M and now he believes it helps.[/quote]Hi Janet,
You sure sound like a 3M ambassador
. Have you tried Panasonic table lamps with natural white light? If so, how do you compare it with 3M's?
For bookfair, it's better to have one more person around to take turn with the queuing while browsing. And if you are buying lots of books and stationeries, you will definitely need a helping hand. It's not advisable to bring young kids who can't help out in the tasks listed above. Use your discretion ...

Do the assessement books run out fast? I would not be in singapore on the 17-19 of november. I am worried everyone would rush to get within the first few days.

Hi happy2bemummy,
You can enjoy 20% discount at popular stores as card member during school holidays. Make a trip to popular few days b4 20% discount starts, then buy the books. Discounts at Bookfest is just a little more. Honestly, the crowd at Bookfest is indeed scary !!
But I am still tempted to go as I need to top up my stationery. -

I was at bookfest at 130pm...crowd wise, it was bearable as compared to last year when I was there in the evening :faint: Most of the crowd was at 'assessment book' section.
Have to be careful when buying assessment now...but the 4 for $9.90 titles are not bad...I mean not the clearance type. Also bought a title going for $2.90. That was
Got hubby to take leave to look after the kids and provide 'coolie' service. Reminded him again & again to apply leave. How else am I going to lug files, notice board and bags of assessment books home ? -
