This happened today at lunch in the house..

DD2's eyes were glued to the TV monitor in
the living room. I was accompanying her eat
lunch while reviewing a mock test paper rcvd
from DD1's school which was excellently done. šŸ˜„

Me : See. Your sister has finished her food so
she can get some break time before homework
time kicks in. Try to finish up your food quickly.
And watch what you're doing lest you spill your
          food or drinks.

          DD2 : I know.. šŸ˜›

Right after i said it, the bowl catapulted and its
contents dropped all over the table, chair (seat),
the carpet and the floor.

Me : See, i just told you.. ( Begin to pick up the
          mess)

Me : Oh golly! You made a mess of the seat, girl.
Me : And you know daddy just had it done right.. Uh-oh!

          DD2 : Yeah, daddy's gonna kill me awrite... šŸ˜›

Me : I'm helping you clear up here. Mebbe it won't
turn out that bad if you practise the \"Honesty is the
          best policy\" thingy..

DD2 : What does honesty mean?

          DD1 : Means you don't lie. So you're still gonna die.. šŸ˜›

DD2 : You mean tell daddy the truth?

Me : Yes, own up to him... at least before he sees it
and gets all riled up. We all promised to take care of
          the house property, right?

Me : Even if he might be a little angry with you for
causing the stain, at least he knows you're good
enuf not to lie to him about it... or wait till he
sees it and asks you about it. Then, it might
          be too late.

DD2 : Ok then.. (nonchalantly got up to so-call tell..)

Me : Hey, daddy just got back from work and is sleeping.
I don't think it's wise to tell him now, cos he just managed
to doze off after working night.

          Me : Mebbe later?

          DD2 : Sleeping? Haiyah... :?

DD2 : But mummy, since he's sleeping even better...
DD2 : I can just whisper softly to him in his ear...
DD2 : So later when he gets up, he won't be angry.

          Me : Uhmm... 😐 I don't think he'd hear your admission.

DD2 : But the point is, i DID tell him. I practised the
\"Honesty is the best policy\" thing you just said.. In fact,
i tell him straight away even.. You come see me whisper
it so you can tell him i DID say sorry for doing it, so you're
being honest too, won't you mummy..

          Me : :faint:

*I explained to her later about the part where the person
she has to own up to has to be conscious... :P*

*She said her sorries like this.. :please: daddy, i'm very
sorry.. It was an accident. I wasn't looking.. It was my
fault, but mummy cleaned it up... already. šŸ˜‰

I was flashing variety dots cards to my then 2 year-old. She wasn't able to tell the number on the card without having to count, so I deliberately chose those with smaller numbers and allowed her to count them anyway.

            DD: 1, 2, 3.
            Me: Good. 3!

            DD: 1, 2....5.
            Me: Good. 5!

This went on for a while and I decided to try the 100 card.

            DD: (silence) WA LAO!
            ME: :rotflmao:

(Don't ask me where she picked that up from!)

              buds:
DD2 came into our room one

night as hubs and i were chit
              chatting together..

              She casually leaned over us
              and said this...

              \"Heyya buds and buds hubs,
              watcha doin'...\"
              How did you react?

Cos my boy came into my room one day and said, \"Hey Guys!\" to me & hb!
              Both of us were stunned.

2nd time he did that, hb grabbed him playfully & said, \"mummy is not a guy!\" & my boy replied, \"Hey mummy....& guy!\"

He picked it up from watching TV (Imagination Movers on Playhouse Disney).

He also picked up another line from TV, \"What's the big idea?\"
I really don't know how to react!

Wah, dun think there was any

                time to react frankly... :rotflmao:

I do remember hubs and me just
blankly staring at each other, cos
we honestly didn't expect that frm
                a 5-yr old...

Then i think we both shook our
                heads simultaneously in shock.

Kids are watching us, even though
we usually think they aren't reali
                observing.. so that's how we
                realized how much the both
of us were so into KSP-ing...
so must cut down... cut down...
                Hehee..
