My three sons (all breastfed) were regular regurgitators. Depending on how long ago the feed was, the spit-up could be quite liquid (freshly ingested) or lumpy (which is digested milk). Sometimes the amount of spit-up would look like a lot. But the doc wasn’t concerned. Said it was normal. And they gradually faded away as they grew older.

        Hi Northernstar

I diluted the milk and she is drinking better now. The silver lining is that she now sleeps through the night 12h without feeding. Can't see any phlegm. Just noisy breathing. Anyway will ask PD when she go for 4 mth jab next week.

DD2 weighed 3.45 kg at birth and 6.6kg at 3 mths. Got chubby cheeks like her dad. DD1 was even heavier but luckily now tall and slim 🙂
        hi Trina,

i dunno my DD will feel full if i diluted her milk anot cos she always wants to drink milk on time. do u stop lettin her drink fei zai water temporarily when she has phlegm?

oh my DD weighs 3.3kg at birth and now 5.9kg in her 2nd mth 🙂

          Hi northernstar,

          DS2 is on breast milk.

Sometimes, he gags and when he vomits, its whitish watery stuff that comes out.

Other times, his vomit is also thick and white. Seems that he does vomit quite a bit of the milk. Usually once a day. Sometimes throughout the day, he will spit out a bit of thick whitish looking stuff.

But on the whole, he is a happy baby, playful and seems to be developing well.

I don't recall my DS1 going through this, that's why am a bit concerned.
I will be monitoring him for the next week or so. Will also start him on solids soon, so will see how it goes.
oic now my DD seldoms vomits milk already. even so, it also becomes abit le, only flows out from mouth. she is ok as well and happy.

u try 2 apply ru yi oil on him more often cos there may be wind in his stomach.

DD2 on milk strike again!! Was doing ok until she had the 2nd dose of puemococcol jab. Very cranky after that. Hope she’s better tomorrow.

Northernstar, I don’t give my kids fei zai water. Already so "fei", no need to drink it. Haha.

                hi All,

I am new here, so may not be so familiar in this forum.

BTW, my gal is just 8mth old, learning to crawl and stand. Does anyone know when baby teething? My gal doesnt seem to have sign of teeth growing yet but now she drools alot.

Heard from relatives that, parents know enlist their bbies to nursery/school. is it too early now? I am stress out by all these…first mummy already drained out and now worrying of their future (when they have yet to grown up).

                  Welcome Evelyn!!

My DD2 also drools a lot but no sign of teeth yet. She’s 4 months. DD1 hardly drool and had first tooth only at 11th month. Think some babies just drool a lot. PD says it’s likely to continue till 1 year old.

Yes, I do hear about parents enrolling kids into popular kindys at birth. Was told that there’s no way that I can get DD2 into this particular church kindy cos she’s born in July and all places snapped up already. In any case, have decided to put her into the nearest church kindy when the time comes. I now think that it doesn’t seem to make difference in primary school, judging from DD1 classmates.

Don’t worry too much. Kids will grow up anyway. Better to stress over P1 registration later. That one more siong…

If I recall correctly, he said about 4 - 5 months. It's normal for babies to regurgitate as their digestive systems are not well-developed yet. My 10 month old doesn't regurgitate anymore, unless we play very vigorously with him after a full meal...One baby book describes baby spit-up as a laundry issue and not a health issue! Of course, in some cases, the spit up is due to medical reasons. But for those cases, it is usually a lot, very frequent, and baby is in distress. If your baby is usually happy and gaining weight well, then no need to worry. Maybe just be careful to put a bib on and use a burping cloth over your shoulder when you are carrying him!

Yes, the area I am staying (AMK) it is quite difficult to get good childcare centres so already I knew of parents who have placed their babies name on the list already! One very popular CCC at Bishan refused to let me put down my BB’s name this year. She said too early can only start next year. The problem is this CCC is so popular that better put name down on 1Jan2012 when they are open for registration! Then again, I have also "reserved" a place for my BB at my 1st DS’s kindy under sibling priority! One never know what the vacancy situation will be like so better early then sorry!

I had a tough time getting a vacancy for my golden pig elder boy last year so lesson learnt!

My BB is turning 6 months soon and I have just switched him from Similac infant formula to Dumex Mamil Gold. Because he is pooing just once every 2 days, not everyday, and there was once he did not poo-ed for almost 3 days! My DS1 was on Dumex Mamil Gold and never have any poo issues so I thought to switch my BB to this too. Coincidentally my BB’s PD nurse asked us whether we want to try new milk powder free by Mamil Gold? There is one condition though and that is to fill in a poo booklet for 2 weeks to monitor BB’s poo after commencing the Mamil Gold formula at 6 months. The milk powder is supposed to help! Just nice, so I signed up. The delivery man just deliver 2 tubs of free milk powder to us and we commenced today. After 2 feeds my BB had a big poo!

                        Mmm…lets see how it goes!
