Woah bought uniforms so fast! Another KSP told me that her niece forgot about the rolling up of sleeves and bought so she looked a bit weird. Be careful! :nailbite:

What about the Sleeves? Anything we shd know when we buy?

I only know that the sleeves (for blouses) need to be folded. You can refer to the sample at the entrance to the shop. šŸ˜„

:rahrah: DD is very proud of RGS uniform, the one & only school in the country with sleeves folding up and it very cool to her! It is what we call differentiation from other schools that has look alike uniform! :rahrah:

TKSS girls also fold their sleeves. And their skirts are green, with a white blouse, so they look almost the same as the JC girls...

Go take a look at what CCAs are available during CCA Orientation week. You can speak to the seniors then and for shooting, even have a go at it in the shooting range. šŸ˜‰ You'll also be asked to sign up for trials, interviews and auditions so go sign up for the ones you're interested in. In fact sign up for more because you don't know which ones you'll be selected for.

I'm having troubles selecting CCAs because I want to take sports but I don't like running. So I'm left with shooting and bowling, but for bowling, you need to have prior experience..

Basketball, netball, softball? Tennis? Fencing? Gymnastics, Judo?
Er... Do you know what gymnastics is like? And is prior experience necessary or do you just have to be um flexible (eg can do splits etc.)? And I'm also interested in band. I used to be in band in Pri sch but only for two yrs (P3 to P4). Do you think I can get in? And for fencing do you need prior experience? Coz it sounds interesting but I have no prior experience at all.

Can someone advise what to expect on :-

21 Dec
at about what time would we be expecting the sms? or what time you received the sms last year?

22 Dec
8.30am we report to the school...
then what happens?
it's orientation or what? can someone describe what will happen on that day and what to expect?

Sms should come at around morning.

It would be briefing on programs by school, welcome speech by principals,
you will be grouped into groups based on your name(like a-c one group, s
etc). Note that you won't be notified of your class until 1st day of school(you can't have the whole class' name starting with same letter, so
the grouping is not your class). You will be told your confirmed 3rd Lang,
and speeches made on stuff like CSP, MSP, RSP...

And buy books/uniform.

Um... What exactly do we have to bring to school on 22 Dec for registration? Thanks! šŸ˜„

Hey hamsterlover;) How was badminton? You sure do have experience in many CCAs!

Gymnastics, not very sure about that. But for gym-trampoline i heard that it's quite easy, not much prior experience needed but you need to be daring and not scared of falling off the trampoline.

Band, they pick pupils with music background. Like those with piano/violin grades, or know how to play a few instruments...Fencing is a merit CCA i think, it only has like a few members, but they were quite good at it, so maybe you can ask at CCAO.

so do not need to buy culottes, is it possible

You must have at least one pair. During Orientation Week you'll be wearing culottes every day. You won't be allowed to put on your pinafore yet coz you aren't officially an RGS student until you've had your badge initiation.

On certain days the girls will be required to wear house t-shirts etc with culottes. Especially for Year 1s, you will be wearing house Ts and culottes during House Practices.

Why can't we just wear PE shorts instead of culottes during orientation week? Is it possible? Thanks! šŸ˜„

Year 1s-Yellow

Yr 4s-Red

so we are kind of the most pathetic batch.. get the lousiest color..:(:( I would love to get any other color except for yellow..:'(cos yellow and black wordings are like the weirdest colour combinations..

Wouldn't my batch be worse? Missing the whole entire RGS 1:1 thing just by a year. It'll never be our turn for it, they told us.
Um, will the RGS 1:1 thing be for all 4 yrs in RGS or just for Year 1?
Thanks so much!!!

I'm also sort of interested in choir though no experience there. Do you know the chances of getting in? I still want badminton but you know just in case I don't get that...
