Why can't we just wear PE shorts instead of culottes during orientation week? Is it possible? Thanks!babydragon:
so do not need to buy culottes, is it possible
You must have at least one pair. During Orientation Week you'll be wearing culottes every day. You won't be allowed to put on your pinafore yet coz you aren't officially an RGS student until you've had your badge initiation.
On certain days the girls will be required to wear house t-shirts etc with culottes. Especially for Year 1s, you will be wearing house Ts and culottes during House Practices.

Hey hamsterlover;) How was badminton? You sure do have experience in many CCAs!
Er... Do you know what gymnastics is like? And is prior experience necessary or do you just have to be um flexible (eg can do splits etc.)? And I'm also interested in band. I used to be in band in Pri sch but only for two yrs (P3 to P4). Do you think I can get in? And for fencing do you need prior experience? Coz it sounds interesting but I have no prior experience at all.TheHamsterLover:

Basketball, netball, softball? Tennis? Fencing? Gymnastics, Judo?
Gymnastics, not very sure about that. But for gym-trampoline i heard that
it's quite easy, not much prior experience needed but you need to be daring and not scared of falling off the trampoline.
Band, they pick pupils with music background. Like those with piano/violin
grades, or know how to play a few instruments...Fencing is a merit CCA i
think, it only has like a few members, but they were quite good at it, so maybe you can ask at CCAO.
Yeah, I can play piano and violin (but violin is like only grade 3 :P) and clarinet for when I was in band... I'm also sort of interested in choir though no experience there. Do you know the chances of getting in? I still want badminton but you know just in case I don't get that... -

What kind of gymnastics are there? You know, like gym-trampoline etc and basically what does each type do? Can you please try to tell me a bit about each type if you can? Thanks a lot
No. It isn't possible. You can only wear PE shorts during sports/CCA/PE, and after that you have to change back to your uniform. You can also never hang out of school with your PE shorts on. Like you cannot go home in your shorts unless you're taking your car or something.

From your batch onwards(including your batch), it will be for all 4 years.
Um, will the RGS 1:1 thing be for all 4 yrs in RGS or just for Year 1?
Thanks so much!!! -

This batch of Sec 1s seem very enthusiastic. Well, you can go to our school website to see the CCAs and a brief write-up on them. Note that the session schedule on the website is inaccurate because of the change in timetable.

For choir/band CCA, you can always give it a try. You'll never know, you might have some hidden talents in you. Just relax and give it a go at the auditions. -

You won't know till you've tried, so just give it a shot! -
