It seems that the school doesn't actually have enough classrooms for more than 8 classes.

This was what was told by the school at the last open house, I attended :boogie: The total intake is 250 for 2012 and 25 per class. If they have only 8 classes then max should be 200 and I wonder where they are getting extra 2 classes. What about the annex building that is being opened for SH students-sharing with them maybe!

                From the MOE website:

The ESIP are awarded to Singapore Citizen pupils enrolled in/ admitted into the IP in an IS (Independent School) at Secondary Three, who do not have the EESIS and have performed well in the Integrated Programme Scholarship Test (IPST).

NJC is not an independent school hence ESIP does not apply.

Not very costly to study in NJC.... S$23/mth school fees - what else? Maybe some material fees, that's about it. Not much textbooks needed. 2 for each yr.

:boogie: I understand ESIP does apply to govt.JCs as MOE had been sending out letters to those qualified by DSA top 10%.There's no application-it's a straight forward offer based on PSLE results. EESIS is for independant schools.
How about boarding&overseas air travel and 6months attachment in overseas universities and institution for some students in NJC- does the scholarship cover?
ESIP has already been nominated for the top 10% of PSLE students entering IP program in govt JC's for 2012.The MOE letter to the students only quotes quantum 2.4K per annum for 6 years . Apart from the above, Is anyone out there aware if there is any roll over of unused amount? It appears the MOE website is pending update. :salute:

NJC is not an independent sch so no ESIP. DS has received notice on result day that he qualifies for ESIP but informed that because he accepted CO fm NJC, he will not get it.
