Hi, have anyone stay in Awana Gentings before? care to share your experience?
My family stays here for our every trip to genting. The rooms are big, 2 queen bed. Its not too cold, even in Dec. My kids even swam in the out door heated pool. The breakfast buffet provided is ok.
Its not a hassle for us to drive up to the genting theme park during the day. dh and I will take the hotel shuttle to the casino at night (24 hours shuttle). Its 5-10mins drive to the GOHTONG town, where we can have nice zhi char (better than hotel food).
Can't think of anything else, we normally stay for 3-5 nights, we will still stay here for our future trips ... BTW, my rooms are not FOC. -

so other than taking the cable car, there is a shuttle to go up as well. Glad to hear that. I decided not to stay in First world cos the hotel are too old and stinky.
BTW, do we need to q very long for the shuttle? -

Never see too long a queue. just remembered, I think the shuttle goes to the cable car station during the day and direct after certain timing in the night. Just remember to check the timing for the return trip.

To us, its part of trip. My kids love the cable car ride. To others, its a waste of time travelling up and down, esp if you are there for a short time. -
I read First World is now newly refurbished, not sure if it's just the lobby or the rooms. Any went recently?
SP Mummy:
Dear all Parents,
I intend to go genting with my family in this coming december.
Anyone can advise which is the most comfortable and beautiful hotel to stay in?

Hi
Dh whole family is going to Genting during Chinese New Year. I am just wondering what kind of sweater do i need to prepare for Ds who is 3 years old. Where can i get them?
Thanks! -
hi, i just returned from Genting. Within the hotel and indoor theme park it is normal aircon temp. Outdoor will be quite cold. I suggest you use a thicker sweater and a cap that can cover her ears if you intend to go outdoor.

Hi, how to go to the chin Swee temple from first world hotel?
-
Hi, hotel has free shuttle bus every hourly from 9am onwards. the waiting place is beside the starbuck coffee outside the hotel lobby.
We also told a skyway to the bus station (mid mountain) and took a go-genting bus to KL central.
