      SAHM_TAN:
but each child is different. My older kids also do not always follow the milestones stated in the health booklet.

But since your doc gave you the referral, then just let KKH PD check it out.

      Don't worry too much. :hugs:

Did your doc check the hearing?
That doc we see is not local ... He didn't check hearing all he do is stare onto the health booklet n say better refer to kk :scratchhead: think tat doc is the 'tai chi' doc (save his ass just refer to other doc)

:faint: more like kaisi doc, is the doc young?

If suspect speech delay, the very bare minimum is to check the ears and hearing......

Well, guess you have 2 options, either seek a 2nd opinion or just go KKH with the referral letter.

        When will you visit KKH?

Will you still go if your bb says the magic words before the appt?

Dun think she will say anything b4 the appt , she still seems quite a long way before talking . Whenever I try to practise saying 'mama' with her, she :siam: or stare at me then ignore me.

puff, i think not to worry abt it.. some kids only start bubbling at age 2..i thk the doc is over reacting.. he should have done the hearign test.. i read articles that usually a child cannot speak is due to hearing problem.. if hearing is ok, and he/she is making sounds (ta ta.. mum mum.. etc) then should have no problem..

anyway, to have a peace of mind, u know la.. mummy always worried a lot for the slightest thing for our bb.. go n see the doc as recommended.. at least u are SURE nothing is wrong..

hope u dun worry that much though šŸ™‚ merry xmas to all.. im now in xmas n CNy mood liao..arrhhhh...
