Secondary Education

Secondary Education places students in the Special, Express, Normal (Academic) or Normal (Technical) course according to how they perform at the PSLE. The different curricular emphases are designed to match their learning abilities and interests.

Fast Facts

4-5 years of education
School fees after subsidy: $5.00
Standard miscellaneous fees1: $8.00
Second-tier miscellaneous fees2: $8.00
Autonomous Schools collect Autonomous School Fees, ranging from $3 to $18 per month, on top of second-tier miscellaneous fees

Independent Schools charge a separate scale of fees. The range of school fees for local students (excluding miscellaneous fees) as at 2010 is $200- $300 per month

VS is autonomous, so addition autonomous fees apply.

What I know, no difference in school fees for IP and O level track.

The max will be 5+8+8+18 is it? Any other miscellaneous fees?

Don't think so. His +2 will not be taken into consideration as it is for SAP school only. Anyway, he can get into VS first and try to get in IP during year 3. He has to work very hard though cos only a small percentage made it - about 40 out of 360 for his level.

Hi kakilang,

Think your calculation is right. My ds1 also from autonomous school, but as school fee thru' Giro, has not looked at the actual amount.
