I think it is because it has only one twinning class instead of two since last year.

From what I know : the P6 twinning class this year is divided into 2 tag classes 6 tag 1 and 2 and 2 gep classes (6 tag 3 and 4)for english, maths and science. For Social Studies and Chinese there will be three classes, 6 GJ and K, and the tag pupils are mixed with the gep pupils.

Is there any advantage for tag class in term of PSLE result?
Personally I find that twinning really helped my DS2 in his development , not only in school work.
He is learning a lot of history , geography, general knowledge in social studies, picking up computer skill in CEP lesson etc.

It's the best of both world. You do mainstream math, science and English, probably at a more advance level compared to the rest of the classes, but take same exams in these subjects.
The they join and take same CL/HCL as the GEP kids.
They take the GE social studies exam too even though it's not graded.

Hi All,

My girl will be in class 1E next yr. Anyone from the same class? πŸ™‚

I would need some idea on how much $$ is needed for sch recess..also I'm still thinking should my dd take sch bus as she will need an hour to travel from home to sch.. bus pick up schedule for my place is at 6.10am... return at 2.30pm.. would b glad if anyone here can give us some suggestion/opinion from your experience! Tks in advance!
If you stay near the school, school bus may not be that good an idea.
They really pick up the kids very early.
My kids used to take the school bus but eventually we realized that they could have an extra half an hour of sleep if they walk to school.
Saved some money too.

Timing after school is OK.
In our estate (Faber Hill) initially there were enough kids to fill one school bus.
But a lot were put off by the timing eventually and stopped using it.

Hi, ngbrdad, thanks for the information. Seems like to take this TAG class offer is the better choice.

If you receive the letter inviting your kid to join the twinning system, take it.

I agree. TAG class has its advantages such as smaller class size -25, better and nicer teachers according to my son. He does not want to go to mainstream class now cos he's really enjoying himself in TAG class πŸ˜„

Yup I agreed fully.
My DS is enjoying himself in TAG.
He would have suffered in GEP had he qualified .
