          HAPPYH,

DD used it ( she took her PSLE in 2010) and I did find it good at that time. But cant really say better than all the others, but it was good.

And yes, Champion is really a champ in attaching the pictures :salute:

Was at Popular JP after lunch today so went over to the English Assessment Book section to :peekaboo: on the 1st book above πŸ˜‰

Ok, just personal point of view and I have to reiterate again - I am in no way related to any of the publishers or authors of the above 2 books πŸ˜‰ Find that the 1st book above has lesser notes and practices. Somehow I feel that the content is not what I am looking for - in the sense that it is too simplify. Don't :pokeeye: this is just my own observation πŸ˜‚

I have briefly run thru the 2nd book and am planning to let DD1 starts doing it soon ( :xedfingers: hopefully with co-operation and not :nunchuk: ).

            Dear Champion,

Conquer is adequate for lower primary, but for upper primary, I suggest you get the MCIS book. You can compare the contents pages of both books. The MCIS book includes more challenging questions. I have seen some of those questions in school exam papers. The Conquer series contains mainly standard questions. It's good for drills, but it won't help your child to earn that extra 2 marks from a challenging question.

                  good morning to All! :grphug:

Have the chance yesterday to sit down with both DDs to start the engine πŸ˜‚ BUT not a \"very smooth one\" I would say :frustrated: as both still in holiday mood :heresmyfish:

Got the Longman Synthesis and Transformation P1/2 for DD2. Like the way the topics are being laid out and the notes are quite comprehensive. But both DDs threw me a question,\" What is Synthesis and Transformation? Why the term so long and difficult to read?\" πŸ˜†

OK, so get both to read the P4 Preface and DD1 underlines the meanings and \"explained in simple Singlish term\" to DD2 πŸ˜‰

DD1 was not exposed to S&T in lower primary so I am hoping that I be able to help her in whatever ways I can to understand better and able to do this part voluntarily!

My girl (p3 next year) requested me to buy conquer s&t during this holiday. She did it on her own n said it was so easy. When I realized this is in her book list for next year, I bought score in s&t for her. She said it is more challenging and she refused to do it now. 😞

Conquer S&T is not able to provide kids challenging questions. There are just more connectors added. You can accompany your daughter when she attempts the new title and help her along the way. Motivate and encourage her to be positive...once she can handle tough questions, nothing is impossible for CA/SA. There will be some difficulty in the beginning from P2 to P3, P4 to P5.
