when @ our parents time, parents can reply on Tr to teach… but now seems like parents gonna teach. Tr are just babysit?? no offence to Tr lor…
-
agreed …
But then again, maybe it is due to " certain parent" being too protective abt their kids that make teacher hard to teach…
In this CC that my DS attend, he & his friend play and injured each other.( just small scratch in the other kids ears ). The school did not inform us the next day only after when we come back from holiday ( 4 days later ). Then the CC told us about the incident as the mother called up the CC and demand a apology from the school and us. We even have to meet the father up and write a sorry card lor… -
bye

-
huh?? my kids CC ctr handle this kind matter well… we are informed immediate, be it our kids are the victims or the culprits… and the other party (the kid’s name) is not review to us @ all… we are fine with that…
-
Still working ?
Wah … Yr CC more pro lor… -
After that incident , the tr will separate my ds with this kid… But being kids they like to play together …, then one day , the tr call and say " mrs oo, xx push yr kid and had a bump" I ask " is my ds ok" tr " its just a slight bruise " so I say " it’s ok "
Then the tr say she had inform the other kids mum and guess what she say " my xx is only protecting himself " -
Bye club 2006 … Have a enjoyable evening …

it really depends on the parents.. was talking to the CC teacher just now. Child care which includes nurturing social behaviour and academic . have to take note they aren't fully operational Kiddy garden but they cover the topics.
If parents dont follow up with kids on their learning and \"dump\" on CC teachers, it is quite hard for them to manage as not every child has similar learning ability at such an age.
DD2 class has a very \" care less\" attitude, CC Teacher tried talking to parents but are ignored so they also
She was saying parents kind of expect them to discipline the kids, how to.. can't be cane right? encouraging, advicing will only go so far. There isa boy keeps disrupting the class. he scratches my DD2 quite often. Try talking to the parent (Chao Act Blur) . I really like the CC but this boy annoys me endlessly. The term \"discipline\" is missing in kids and this stems from home and not to enforced by external. it starts from 3 - 4years old..
during my time, my mum engaged a nanny and find that I am going nowhere so she taught me and bought assessment books.... -
WCW:
you kid can practice for daily 30min?! very good ah! but what did he do for that 30min? my boy only need pract max 2 short (1pg) piece per week, so he is like can go through once or twice and then that's it..
DS will practise his piano daily for about 30mins without me sitting with him, he always say if i am there, end up i am the one playing the pianoreiner:
does he need to practice everyday? duration? 30min/1hr?

he will play it after we had finished dinner, so that we are there to be his \"audience\"
but of coz there are times he will get lazy and don't want practice

It's a challenge having to handle 4 kids but I truly enjoy taking care of them.beauty79:
Dear parents of this club, it's so inspiring to read through the forum pages and the love and sacrifices for your kids simply oozes out from between the lines. I am a mother of 4 and my DD1 is born in 2006. So, I think I fit in here. I had just quit from being a primary school teacher. In my years of teaching, I was trained in Stellar, Holistic Assessment, the new SSM2 Math package that will be rolled out to all primary schools next year, as well as in Learning Support for both English and Mathematics. With all the knowledge and skills, I simply need more time to coach my children. Hope to get to know all of you better.
Hi beauty79,
Welcome to club 2006...
Wow, 4 children.... hat's off to you. I have 2 sons and I find it tiring sometimes to deal with them. I think you made the right decision to quit yr job. Being a primary school teacher ain't easy, I know... I see my son's teachers looking drained at the end of the day!
I'm sure we can ask you for advice on school stuffs!
Cheers.
