If I don't buy the thermal pot, I am thinking to get an adaptor with timer for the slow cooker, so the slow cooker can switch off / on itself. Anyone has seen this kind of adaptor before? :?

DIY shops will sell them. DH bought one to switch the light on and off daily for his fish tank. There are different types, and they come in digital and non-digital formats. We chose the non-digital one partly because we were afraid the timer would be rendered useless should the LCD break down. Keep in mind the space needed to plug in and set/switch on the timer. The socket our timer is plugged into is just under some cabinets so there wasn't much space for the bulkier timers. If you don't know how to use the timer, ask the DIY shop staff. If they say dunno, go to another shop. No point buying one that you don't know how to use properly.

              Hi Schellen,

The timer sounds fantastic. So, we can set the time when we want our electric item to be switch on? Or we can set how long we want it to be on?

According to our timer, you can choose when the appliance is to be switched on and off on a daily basis, so yes, you can pick the duration.

                    Hi all mummies,

I was at BHG yesterday and saw that there was a sale. Think can get 20% off for the Tiger thermal pot.

I saw Thermos Thermal pot (thermos shuttle chef) in the website (http://www.thermalcookware.com/) and it looks quite interesting. It has two innner pot - 3 liter capacity, and also has accesories like steamer to put inside the inner pot. Does anyone where I can get this? The accesories are sold separately, does Robinson or OG sell this? And any feedback about this brand? Thanks ya šŸ˜„

There is currently a Thermos fair at Isetan Katong. I saw the 4.5L pot selling at $208 and it comes with a free thermal mug which costs $40+ according to the sales girl. Think the 6L pot which is the one that comes with 2 separate 3 litre pot in it, is selling at $299.
