Reading helps building the creative mind but weirdly enough, there are so many model composition books around. But you are right, from reading, you will know how to form a sentence because it \"sounds\" right but not know why , example why a verb can change into an abstract noun.
From personal experience, I disagree about 7 abit. I read alot of good English books when I was younger. I know English on a intuitive level rather than understanding the rules. I could score quite well but there were mistakes which teachers thought were careless ones because of my overall result. But I know they were not careless mistakes because I do not know all the rules. Now I'm re-learning English because I do not want to teach DD1 the wrong stuff.
This is crucial as that's where kids might face issues with synthesis/ transformation followed by composition.. -

Normal unaccelerated path, 18yo girls will be in uni mah, so no danger of boys in NS :rotflmao:. Generally, 18yo boys in local uni are either non-citizens or in med sch :evil:SAHM_TAN:
mine will be 21 yos, best to skip the NS yrs
I can literally feel my hair turning white :faint: -

Thanks Sahm :snuggles: I am aware which food to avoid but didn't know about the food which can keep phelgm under control
These might help to keep phlegm under control, asparagus, onions, cauliflower, celery and garlic.
Just curious.. thought women shouldn't eat too much asparagus? -

My paed says don't eat banana if there's phlegm.Drink plenty of water to loosen phlegm and wash them down from the throat.
Seems that there are some food that might increased phlegm production:
dairy products, including milk, cheese, yogurt, salt and sugar. Though in our diet, I think it's difficult to reduce salt and sugar.
These might help to keep phlegm under control, asparagus, onions, cauliflower, celery and garlic.
Also, good to avoid fried food. No fries! -

Both my sons grasp mathematical concepts with astonishing ease. But dd is the complete opposite. Gender difference hmmm... Very interesting.
