Ya. Happyh is correct. The one I suggest is different from what the one who is selling as mentioned by phtthp.

You can see what Champion has download on the last page. That’s the one I mentioned. It might be consider easy for those who are upper primary but simple to understand by lower primary.

I remember seeing some questions on the different ways a plant can reproduce for eg leaves, root, stem this year...suckers (banana), begonia, potato, sweet potato.

Will get that end of next year when there's 20% discount again. Sometimes buy too early, scare they change syllabus or change something in the book. Only English, I dare to purchase much more earlier. 😄

No need to wait till end of the year. There will be 20% in June. For science, the lower and upper block is somewhat new. What is taken out is 'simple machines' and 'earth solar system'. Mummies, please correct me if I've left out anything.

Just curious how do we know what are in the syllabus and what are not? Just purely based on the thin thin textbook or the sch will uplate?!?

Text books are not accurate, cos they may not follow exactly spelled out by MOE

Then how to check the syllabus since the guide books covers most of it or may be in excess? thank you

All the syllabus are in the moe website.
                        http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/syllabuses/sciences/files/science-primary-2008.pdf

I suggest you go thru them as it helps one get not only details but aslso the bigger picture of the Primary school syllabus and what it aims to achieve.

                        For science
While the setting questions and way of correcting has its own flaws , on the whole I admire the intent. I like the syllabus approach to systems on the whole instead of a previous approach of separate units. While classification is necessary and makes learning easier , its integration of different units thats more real world. One really has to understand concepts when applying it to systems.

After all besides PSLe the primary school education has a far more important function.
