Do we need to stay within 1km if we want to PV for RGPS / MGS?

St Nicks requires PVs to stay within 1km before even applying.

i am unsure if mgs take in pv cos the school does have a very strong parent support group.

but even if she does take in pv, it is better to stay within 1 km cos' you are competing against church members too.

          I am new here…

I am staying in AMK and I got a child born in 2008 any school to recommend for PV?? Is it too early for me to register PV?

Instead, I have checked Anderson Primary but they have closed applications until 2016. Does it mean that I have no chance to send it PV ?

          Looking forward for your reply…

IMO, PV relatively easier. Once selected by school, means got chance to register under phase 2B as long as put in enough hours.

Grassroot, need to depend on position and to reach that minimum position may take a few years. But once there, means got chance to choose from a few school within area under phase 2B.

Why Anderson PS closed PV application till 2016? :?
Tot parents cannot apply as PV for that year unless kids are registering in 2 years' time? No?

ie for 2008 kid, you apply for PV at 2012 to register for P1 in 2014 (for 2015 P1 entry). Most schools only allow the parents to apply as a PV only in 2012 itself if their kid is registering in 2014 for 2015 entry. PVs have 2 years to collect 40 - 80hrs (depending on the school). Am I correct?

Would you believe this - My hubby n i went personally to haig girls school to apply for PV lasts year around this time. I didn't get any respond and so I rang the school up only to be told they couldn't find my application form. Application has been closed and the person in charge said she would check with the vp n revert. And up till now still no news... 🤷

call up the VP & speak to her personally. don’t go through 3rd party to convey messages. another way is to email the P directly, then follow up by a phone call.

Most certainly will write in and call up the p or vp. This third party is supposed to be the one in charge of pv.
