Phankao, thanks for the advice, but I asked already and the bookshop lady said no; claiming it's the school rules. Cannot buy before 22.
Lol. Maybe they not ready.
Er, why cannot? Just ask, lah. I tried calling the bookshop on my way there, but no one answered the phone.phankao:

Yeah, I will be one of those queuing up at DD's school!
If only her school bookshop is as flexible!
But since I was already going there, I drop in to ask, lor. -

Year 2 book list cost less less than $75
That is a huge difference between the 1st n 2nd year.
IPs use a lot of notes and worksheets to teach. Books are mainly for reference. But some textbooks are for Year1-2. Year 2 booklist spending may be minimal.Snow Crystal:
For RI sec one books alone abt 290+ (excluding pe attire and jersey)
Those who had made the reservesion for sec one books can collect them
On 22nd dec @ blk B . They accept nets/credit cards or cash
Overall, about the same as most sec schools then.

It depends on whose name was given to make the reservation. Did your dh give his name or your ds name? For eg, I reserved under my name, so they will look for my name to retrieve the books.
But when my dh placed an order for the sec 1 books (over the phone), there was nothing black and white like a purchase order or something. So how to retrieve the books? U mean just give ds name only?Ms tay:

The books will be nicely packed in a box ready to go! -

So i think they'll ask for his name and tel no. to tally before giving the books. Thank You!

that is because most of the books are for use over 2 years (those are sec 3/4 texts)
That is a huge difference between the 1st n 2nd year.
Overall, about the same as most sec schools then.
