Power nap in the school bus is important. It can really charge up the kids.

Thanks a lot for all of you's advice πŸ™‚ :thankyou:

Before the school holiday ends, I have actually informally sounded out the mother of my girl's classmate staying nearby which happened to take the same school bus. I have asked her whether can \"tumpang\" her car come the new year in the morning. She did said \"yes\" but maybe out of courtesy :nailbite:

Both me and my hubby don't drive, so effectively we can't car-pool and share the responsibility, more like me \"latching\" on to her. And we are talking about everyday tumpang, not just once in a while. So I am a bit hesitant to ask her again to confirm....

Yes I did mentioned to her on chipping in on the petro costs before as well....Just worried that she might be obligated to say \"Yes\" but she might not be that happy ultimately.....

I will informally sound her out again... :xedfingers:

Sorry I need to seek your advice again.

For those of you with girls taking Higher Chinese in upper primary, which are the days of the week they will typically have Higher Chinese lesson?

We have been informed that for 2012 P3 Higher Chinese lesson, it will either be on Monday or Friday. Just pre-empting that should higher Chinese for other levels (i.e. P4 to P6) are not on Monday/Friday, the school bus uncle will say \"No\" to the 4.30pm bus and ask my girl to stay back all the way till evening dismissal time to go back together with the lower primary girls.

In this case, my girl will have to stay back all the way from either 2.30pm or 3pm to 6.30pm and come back with the lower primary girls :?:

From what i know there will be more than 1 level of students staying back for HMT. One thing for sure it will not be on Wed coz there is no CCA bus on that day. Usually they use a diff bus for CCA.

how does the school bus charge you - for adhoc trip like attend HCL on certain unique days? based on per trip basis or fixed $ per month, regardless of how many trip you need ?

if not convenient, instead of wait from 2.30 pm - 6.30 pm and no one is there to supervise yr daughter during these hrs, how much does it cost to put her into 'Out of the Box' aftercare for these few hrs, on those adhoc days ? you may check it up. There are quite a fair number of P1 2012 RGPS parents who place their daughters there.

long term wise, safer to rely on school bus.

From my knowledge, hcl can be on mon, tue or fri. I think the days are not fixed for any given level. Also, i think there will be school buses to fetch the girls home. You could call the GO to check to set your mind at ease.

You might also want to have a backup plan for when unforeseen last minute things happen eg if her dd is absent at the last minute then you will need to send your dd to school on your own.
