Just asking, how do we know who is the spammer in KSP???? :?
Thanks in advance... -
Muffins:
They have the following symptoms:Just asking, how do we know who is the spammer in KSP???? :?
Thanks in advance...
1. They register only to post ads.
2. They post ads everywhere, and it is usually for the same thing.
3. They don't care if their posts do not fit into the discussion in that thread they posted.
4. They do not contribute anything useful to the forum/thread.
These are generally the symptoms. There may be exceptions when the spammers post in the correct places but even after gentle reminders, they may still do the following:
1. Start a new thread/topic for every ad they post. This is NOT acceptable if the ads sell the same thing, even when the ads look different. Doesn't matter even if this is done in the correct forum.
2. Update their thread(s) too frequently (e.g., every few hours).
3. Post ads that are too good to be true. Example: Chief \"caught\" one selling a phone for an unbelievably (really impossible) low price. This breed is dangerous as they are scammers too.
Spammers can return under another nick even after they have been banned/deleted so we have to be alert. -

Oh, thanks schellen, I'll keep my eye out for them and report here if I find any!

Hi guys,
Is "lifestylelink" a spammer, by any chance? He’s in the "Kiasu Auctions" forum thread and he’s offering cheap deals, that are going at 50% off, so I just wanted to make sure if he was a spammer or not… -
Muffins:
Er, I think not cos he has offered us many real deals before. Maybe it's better to check with Chief, first?Hi guys,

Why don’t you make a new Kiasu Auction? They are always fun to watch… -
