            Hi

May i have some advice on Science tuition, please.
Is it necessary to start Science tuition in Sec 1? Better to have home tutor or group class at tuition centre? I stay in Clementi. Is there any good Science tuition centre in Clementi, Jurong East or Bukit Batok area?

            TIA.

              Hi all

can someone provide opinion on this matter.
For a transverse wave travelling to the right, at a particular instant, what is the speed of the particles at the crest, the centre position and at the trough when compare to each other? Which is faster -- Vcrest, Vcentre & Vtrough?
              Thank you
You chose an interesting place to pose your question. In case you have not gotten your answer, hope that my explanation below helps.

Particles at the crest and trough are momentarily at rest
              i.e Vcrest = Vtrough = 0

Vcentre is highest compared to all other positions. However, particles at centre may have opposite velocity if they are 180 degrees out of phase with one another.

Interactive Science for Inquiring Minds (Volume A+B) are used in some schools and the books are decent, although it is best to check with the school which book they use. If all the school does is give notes, it is still a good idea to have a textbook to read since major publishers will go through a review and editing process to make sure the material is accurate and clearly written.

Are the science text books in the book list(Sec 1) of my DS's school. There is no biology text book :? When will biology be taught?
Do different schools teach different science subjects?
