http://www.agoda.com is reliable. I've used it for my shanghai and Beijing trip. Reliable, made payment through agoda and then that's it. Their comments and feedback are decent as well. I would recommend it.
Agreed. In addition, you get points which you can use to get rebates for future bookings. -
RE: COE trends
In early December, I was telling my wife that we can take cab as a much cheaper alternative to driving a car, since COE is so high. This is subjected to the condition that cost of commuting by cab remains much lower than driving a car. Barely one week later Comfort dropped the bomb. And I believe we can expect cost of commuting by cabs to continue rising until it is almost comparable to driving.

You chose an interesting place to pose your question. In case you have not gotten your answer, hope that my explanation below helps.Hi all
can someone provide opinion on this matter.
For a transverse wave travelling to the right, at a particular instant, what is the speed of the particles at the crest, the centre position and at the trough when compare to each other? Which is faster -- Vcrest, Vcentre & Vtrough?
Thank you
Particles at the crest and trough are momentarily at rest
i.e Vcrest = Vtrough = 0
Vcentre is highest compared to all other positions. However, particles at centre may have opposite velocity if they are 180 degrees out of phase with one another. -
RE: Travel: China - Hong Kong

Can confirm if Hong Kong Airlines is really a budget airline? I boarded a plane from T2, not the budget terminal, and was served full meals onboard. And of course, the prices I paid are far more ex than budget airlines. The following airlines fly between Hong Kong and Singapore :
Full Service :
SIA (B777/A380)
Cathay (A330/B777/B747)
Vladivostok Air (A320)
United / Continental (partial meals) (B737)
Budget airlines :
Tiger (A320)
Jetstar (A320)
Hong Kong Airlines (A330)
Large airplanes : B777/B747/A330/A380
Small planes : A320/B737
when hit turbulence, small planes give more \"excitements\" ......

RE: Money for kids?
I think informally, kids can be taught simple values about money anytime. I would spend more effort in educating my children about money when they reach 10 years of age.

RE: Pacifier use
My dd is weaned off the pacifier at 11 months. We had to persevere for a few times and bear with the prolonged cries. Our efforts paid off.

RE: Buying milk powder in Malaysia
I have been getting Isomil from Jusco, saving > $10 per tin. There are minimal differences e.g 1-3 years for Singapore vs 1-10 years in Malaysia. My dd gulps down all the same.
