      Very quiet today.

Guess everyone is busy buying books and uniforms.
Yes. How come you're back so early? Oh your dw is accompanying your ds.

        Blur Dad:

All ACS(P) and ACS(J) students admitted to ACS(I) are given some special treatment. They can report one day earlier. No need to squeeze with the rest.

        Sorry, not \"Starter kid\" :rotflmao:
        Should be \"Starter kit\"

        The starter kit is free.

In summary, every information you need to know about administration to year 1 is in the starter kid. By reading the information, DS will roughly know what do to and what to prepare on the first week of school.

At first I still wonder why no welcome speech from the P, briefing, talks or something. After gone through the administration process. I guess it is not necessary. The briefing, talk, meet the teachers, meet the parents only comes after the Discovery Camp. I guess it is more effective and meaningful.

Quite impressive with the process and how it was organize. Hope my DS has chosen the right school

        Cheers

The timing of the high tea session not very convenient.
Is it necessary to attend ?

The meet the parents session is especially useful as you get to sit with parents of your DS's class and know the parents of your your DS classmates. Last year, we even exchange phone numbers and stayed in contact to discuss progress etc etc..

Maybe check with RI when is the latest date the result will be out?

Check this doc for RI supplementary intake info and dates.

                    http://admissions.ri.edu.sg/php/uploads/SIY1.pdf.

Your chances to enter RI with 269 is very high, unless MOE clamp down on strict adherence to DSA. Meanwhile, your uniform and books, you can buy at a later date with your DSA school, if you can't get into RI. Check with your DSA school bookshop and uniform vendors about the sale dates in school.
                    Gd luck.

                        Any KSPeers appealed for NJC?

NJC COP have went up to 258 from last year 257. Yesterday when I visited NJC to put in the appeal papers, there were 3 other applicants and the lady in-charge juz told me there are many applications and she don’t know about the chances for 257(My DS marks). From NJC website, the info says "All successful applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in writing or through a phone call latest by 30 December 2011. ".

Any other souls in my position?
