Today overeat liao. There's 冬至 dinner at inlaw's plc tonight n I hv food almost every 2hrs :faint:
But not my fault, today suppose to be the coolest day of d year, shortest day n longest nite. So cold must eat n eat.... :nailbite:

that is quite nice to have such a table, we had D&D at MBS once and the table was definitely lesser than 1k coz it was a buffet :rotflmao:

The fuss is becos, IP is for students who are uni bound so by right zero failure and zero opt out.

But by left anything can happen wat, so nothing surprising.

Who can guarantee wor?

already told dh not to be kan cheong.. if dd really go ip then if want to be kiasi then take O levels as private candiate la... Wat is the problem??

IP is another path to enhance clever students , think no one can say everything is fool proof and 100% guaranteed to work since human mind can change throughout. a clever kid can be rebellious or have a change in attitude in learning. IP path only states what it can offer but it doesn't promise that your kid can be taught to stay clever or diligent. this would be coming from the child.

If a child studies better under exam pressure, O levels would be the way. If the child is independant, maybe IP is the way. 5% of the cohort not thriving under the IP system is quite low to be honest. if we are looking at 30% then yup maybe something is wrong where kids joining IP can't cope.

well....IP curriculum will not prepare the child for O levels.

So if that's your backup, it might be taxing for your DD becos she will need to prepare O level work on her own. and your :moneyflies: becos you will need to engage tutor to guide her on O level curriculum.

I think if I'm not wrong, O level work is tackled at sec 3&4.

I know one school skip sec 1 work and just concentrate on O level work at sec 1. So in a way the school is ahead.
