I only submitted the form for HMT. The rest past to form teacher on 3/1. 😄 r your ds taking 3 rd Lang at molec? Remember to register there on 30/12 as stated.
Thanks...vlim!
No, I dare not let him take 3rd lang cuz I'm scared he can't cope. :nailbite: He's not even taking HMT (chinese is his weakest). Just the usual subjects will do. Did you manage to get the pe attire today? Or you've already got them earlier?

Hi elctodragon,
All students who get in RI will take the same programme whether they are geppers or mainstreamers. Heard there are abt 7 classes for geppers and u should be in one of them. Reason to separate the Ge and mainstream pri students are to make sure the mainstream students r able to catch up with the pace..but ultimately they r studying the Same programme...
As for the eesis or gep subsidy fees .. I think if u granted eesis then u will not be granted the gep subsidy.. U may like to read the first few pgs of the green secondary schools selection book which stated the eligibility of the diff scholarship and funds .... 😄

Thanks so much for the swift response vlim, but I am still wondering why in the S1 IS Website it is reflected that I \"not been enrolled in the school-based special programme of an Independent School\", but I was told I have met BOTH GEP promotion and EESIS criteria in a MOE letter. I am confused, like you, i was told GEP students will be placed in gep classes to go thru the school based GE enrichment programme.
Err ... U have got in RI thru DSA?.., I think u don't have to bother about tt.., maybe tt is for those who go school base gifted prog in 'O' level track.,.., but u are now in RI integrated prog, so u get eesis instead of the gep subsidy ...
Emmmm.. Maybe other parents would like to add on or correct me ..?
i did not get in through dsa 😢 but got through dsa 😓 thanks for the info!

Any KSPeers appealed for NJC?

NJC COP have went up to 258 from last year 257. Yesterday when I visited NJC to put in the appeal papers, there were 3 other applicants and the lady in-charge juz told me there are many applications and she don't know about the chances for 257(My DS marks). From NJC website, the info says \"All successful applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in writing or through a phone call latest by 30 December 2011. \".

Any other souls in my position?

I can only say good luck to you based on our experience with NJC thruout the DSA process.

:? Was it so painful, that you went thru the DSA process in NJC? Not so efficient and timely?
Er, I'm a gep student who got into ri and I'm eligible for gep promotion and fee subsidies but I don't know if RI has enough places for ge students. I was not offered gep fees subsidy but instead got edusave entrance scholarship for independent schools(EESIS). What does this mean? Do I get into RI but am not in a gep class? I got 264.

thanks kitcat! very helpful! 😄

So have any of the students with COs who are appealing to other schools heard from their school of appeal? Has any school blinked and defied the MOE directive? Please do let us know.

HI Alchemist, are you appealing ?

Anyone noticed what the total intake of each school is today?

Bc it does not seem quite so logical that there are more IP places this year but the COPs of top schools have instead gone up. At school today(not IP though), I saw that the number of students in the list total 330. The school has always had a maximum capacity of around 400. . could the school have purposely restricted number of students so that their COP wouldn't go down?

Like NJC too...they reduced their DSA intake, but their COP went up. I wonder what is their intake size as of S1 reporting day today (including DSA).

I thought the number of students that a sch takes in during S1 posting wld b determined by MOE? As in, MOE knows how many more students a sch can take in & post the students accordingly?

Dr Kiasu:
Got DSA offer from another school. PSLE scored 269 (+3). Applied to RI sup intake and waiting for result. Reported to the DSA school today but dnt know whether need to buy the DSA school's uniform/books as still waiting for RI result. Any advice?

You accepted DSA offer, hence, no appeal from MOE directive.
Hence, not sure if RI will consider to accept. Will you appeal to MOE if not accepted?

Guess everyone is busy buying books and uniforms.

Yes. How come you're back so early? Oh your dw is accompanying your ds.

My ds and I reached the school at 8 and were out before 8.45. Process was efficient! Kudos to the school!
you have definitely chosen the right school. Congrats!
