Junior Masterchef

Btw, for those who have missed the preliminary rounds (like myself) , i think they are airing it daily at about 11 or 1130pm. I was watching episode 2 last night at 12am. Jack should be in tonight’s episode.
In Singapore, our living space is small, most of us can barely squeeze in a proper oven in a condo for example, needless to say a double oven or to have a pasta machine, Kitchen Aid, blender that is place daily on the kitchen top. My dream is to have an island kitchen…
Tough for our kids to take up cooking seriously. But I don’t mind sharing the art of cooking with them like what is steam, poach, fry, etc. & natural food flavour enhancer like lemongrass.
At the moment, just simple baking with the kiddos. -
My daughter and I have been avidly following Season 1 on Okto. At first I was amazed and impressed with the kids’ cooking skills. Now I’m even more impressed because the kids have shown spontaneity, confidence without being arrogant, coolness under pressure, poise, sportmanship and support for each other. Wow! There’s a lot kids and even adults can learn from them. Quite rare, I thought, to have a children’s programme that is fun and also educational.

Oh, did they? That's good. Do you know on which station and what day/time? I enjoy watching Jr Masterchef - especially the OZ version. Don't care much for the adult US version. Too much shouting and foul-mouthed participants and judges  -
The aussie versions are more fun to watch, both the adult and kids versions. I can’t remember if junior masterchef is on 102 or 501. Sundays.

Thanks jtoh, think it must be on 501. Doubt Mediacorp is screening this. Will watch out for it. Am so impressed with the kid chefs.
I tried one of their Kids Masterclass recipe - Vietnamese Pho and have been cooking it now and then. Quite easy to follow since it's adapted for kids. -
I haven’t tried any of the recipes but am very impressed. And I must try Adriano’s cake shop if I’m ever in Sydney.

Ya... his desserts look divine. But wouldn't want to be in the competitors' shoes whilst creating his desserts.:nailbite:

I’m so impressed that they don’t dumb down recipes for the kids.
