All About Full-Time Maids

Hi carebear, i told my maid that she was to come to me. But i think next time i must be clearer and say come to me only, don't bother sir especially when i'm around or i will send you packing!

And the thing about plain and simple maids... For both maids, they looked v simple, and v cheerful in their biodatas. The current maid was also v plump for her height at about 56kg. But phwao, i almost :faint: when i saw both maids for the first time!

Both are pretty, v unlike the photos i've seen. And both like wearing skin tight jeans. The current one had even lost 8 kg just before she came. I was like WTH!

The current one also the same pattern as the previous one in dressing. Colourful ( black, red, embroidered) bras, tight jeans, into makeup from their personal photos i've seen. This one better still, thought i saw g-strings under her pants! :shock: :faint:

But cos i didn't see a repeat of the g-string incident, i just let it be. Thought could be my eyes playing tricks on me. But i did tell her to change when she was wearing a black bra under her yellow t-shirt. Am really amazed at their idea of acceptable dressing, or is that the way they dress back home too?

I think must have as my criteria next time that the maid must be ugly, have moustache, be flat as an airport both front and back, and wear gunny sack-like clothes and granny underwear! :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

And i think i should reject them on the spot if i so much as find a non-nude coloured bra in their luggage! :rotflmao: The agent might think that i'm :siao: but better safe than sorry!

not so sure about indo maids' heights cos I don't usually go for them. But I've seen quite a few indo maids around my area that are as tall as, or even taller than, me.


But if they are from the poorer areas, the lack of nutrition may have contributed to shorter heights.

All my maids past and present are short, and all of them have been very good.
I hire short maids cos I am short, and they must be shorter than I.

I have been hiring from homekeeper maid agency, and I think they train the maids very well before sending them to their employers.
I noticed that my maids behave the same way when they first come, even without me telling them.
Eg : greet employer in the morning and say good nite before they sleep.
Eat after employer eats by default.
Don't wash their clothes in the washing machine by default.
Wash clothes and iron daily ........ just to name a few.

maybe I should visit the homekeeper agency which is near my MIL's place. This will be my \"virgin\" attempt to get a maid and it's very important that I get a good one though I don't need her to care of my kid. It's for my in-laws cuz my father-in-law is suffering from dementia and my poor MIL who is also my kid's caregiver is now mentally and emotionally stressed.

I noticed that there are plenty of good maids but their training is mostly on housechores and babysitting. Pls correct me if I am wrong.

But in my case, the priority is care of elderly and general houseworks. I wonder whether I should get a new one or a transfer one. Do you think the agency can advise one that?

So far the 2 indo maids I have quite short. My current myan one is fairly tall in comparison (1.6something).

That's very tall for a maid. I also notice that many foreign helpers are relatively short. I believe it's due to malnutrition in their home country.

My very first maid was from Nation and she worked for me for 8 years!
Subsequently the other maids, from Homekeeper, completed their 2 year contracts except for 1 who worked for me for 2 months. She was very good in housework but was unwilling to learn to cook, perhaps cos she did not want to handle pork, and requested to be transferred to a muslim family.

Yes, most of them are trained in house work and child minding.
Taking care of the elderly requires training, and perhaps, you could enrol her in some training lessons which I believe may be conducted by polyclinics or some nursing homes, or perhaps some elder care centres?
Dementia patients can be demanding, so it will be good for the maid to have an idea what to expect before she starts working for you.

I am afraid to get suaku ones cuz I heard of a maid who tried to mail letters home with 5 cents stamp :scratchhead: At the same time, I also scared trsf maid got attitude problem (kenna rejected by employer).

I've overlooked the due date for my maid's medical checkup! :yikes:
The due date is actually 20 dec but letter say report muz reach by 4jan..how how? I will send her by today..

hi yanyan, if you send her today, I think should still be ok. If you are worried, just give MOM a call, I think they will still reassure you all is fine.


I once forgot all about it and even lost the letter. Fortunately, I could reprint from the mom online system (have to log in). I was late, but no penalties.
