EOYS are simply end-of-years (examinations). The school-based SAP Scholarship Programme is offered to top students who excel bilingually. They will then attend addtional language immersion modules along with other activities such as field trips and overseas trips. They pick studetns from Sec 2 and 3s based on results, in total about 20 students or so. About the distinction between classes, i am not entirely sure but I’m pretty sure it is via PSLE results. Our sec1-1 class then had students with English A stars.

            phankao:
Just for everyone's reference. For uniforms, other than Bibi & Baba, another that supplies CHS uniforms is Shanghai Uniforms. It's office/warehouse is just behind CHS at Jalan Pemimpin.

SHANGHAI SCHOOL UNIFORMS PTE LTD (OFFICE)
            59 Jalan Pemimpin L & Y Building #02-03\t
            Singapore\t 577218.
            Tel: +65 63382741
            Email: [email protected]

Operating hours 10-12pm and 2-5pm Monday to Saturday

Too bad I can't find another supplier for the CHS PE attire. My sec 1 boy needs 2 sizes smaller from Bibi & Baba's smallest size S. *sigh*. Even my elder son's school PE attire has size XS. How come CHS doesn't have. *urgh*.
CHS uniform has 7 metal buttons. I was told must take out and wash everytime/everyday. Any one here has sewed on the button before? :yikes:

I understand that Cheng Cheng high’s uniform also similar but they sew on button. Maybe they use titanium material…

Pls go to the CHS (Pri) forum’s thread to read about buttons.

                  Lots of info (picture) there.

LOL. CHS uniform is so hard to wear. I am starting Secondary One in CHS in 2012 (confirmed).

                    Here's what I propose:
Maybe attach the metal buttons there from Monday - Friday

On Saturday, take them out to wash
Then on Sunday, put them back on.

That's what I would most probably do.

Anyway, I got 246+2 marks for PSLE 😄 Guess it was a close call. After all, the COP of CHS for students going into CHS for 2011 is 247.

Ichigokun: Well, that's if you absolutely do not mind wearing the same set of clothes for a week! Which is quite a nasty proposition considering that you will sweat, get dirty, etc. Most students change everyday. Yes, that includes putting on the buttons everyday. Oh and grats on your 'close call'. Good luck on your formative years here at CHS. Just some advice: Academics and CCAs are both really important. Aim for executive committee positions in your CCAs. The formula? Enthusiasm and hard work! Oh, and grasp all opportunities that come your way, competitions, youth conferences, etc. Good for a holistic portfolio! 🙂 Need more advice? Sound me out! 🙂
