I don't know how much the SPI bag cost...think should be around $100++. Just happened to saw some positive reviews abu it when I was surfing the net for ergonomic school bags. Also came across other names such as Impact, Nivpak, etc. Just how do I know which is better :?

          Hi everyone,

We’re just back after buying the books and uniform at BCPS. Did anyone else go there too?

One advice - if you are planning to buy all the books (like we did), do take someone with you - it is one big box per child (imagine us with 2 boxes)…You can also buy the thumb drive there - they are using scandisk 2 GB, which is the same cost at the NTU computer shop (I checked it today). The mike is a Philips one. They advise you not to open it till the teacher asks for it and you should send it to school in the packaging, where the teacher will set it for them. You can also buy the book covers from them, it’s all pre-cut. They were also selling school bags at around $30.

For uniforms, according to a current parent I met there while buying my stuff, she said, to buy 1 set of the school uniform as they use it just once a week, esp in P1 (on Tuesdays) and to buy min 3 sets of the PE uniform as this is what they wear on other days. You can buy more of the PE set, so no need to wash during the week. i got 1 + 3 sets for both kids. You can also buy the name tags, which will be given to the kids around the 2-3 week of school by their form teacher.

Bus fees can also be paid. For less than 1 km, it is $35 per month and for 1-2 km it is $40 per trip. we paid for a single trip, though if you take both trips, it may be cheaper.

I was there y’day at about 4+, very fast cos not much people there.

Bought all the books, the back-pack and uniforms (2 sets x uniform & 4 sets x PE). Sent approx. $315.

Later will be going to CCK to register for her Tien Hsia, called the school and the time-table not out yet, thus got no choice but register my girl in the Saturday afternoon class.

See u all on orientation day, just curiously, can the school accommodate both parents or only 1???

We were there too around 4ish....

I think both parents are allowed at orientation day.

                  See you all then...

For the weekend classes is $330 per term, 1 class per week lasting 2 hours.

I got the bag for my girl cos it is one of the cheapest \"Ergo\" bag I had seen, chances is that my girl will not want to use the same bag in P2, so if throw away not so heart pain.
