Why are RGS girls practising band today? Is it a norm that you all have to go back to sch last week of Dec?

It depends on the CCA, especially CCAs like the PAs and the Sports CCAs should have practice/training during holidays. It doesn't have to be last week of Dec, it's actually throughout the holidays.

The band and other PA groups could be practising for CCAO? They performed during CCAO in the past. Not sure about next year's CCAO.

If you mean you can't go on holidays because of all these pracs, it's not that serious really. you can skip them if you go overseas

It depends on the CCA, especially CCAs like the PAs and the Sports CCAs should have practice/training during holidays. It doesn't have to be last week of Dec, it's actually throughout the holidays.

I'm not sure about other CCAs, but for basketball training starts in the first week of December, thrice a week afternoons if I'm not wrong. And I would guess that all sports have similar training schedules. Competitions start early in the year for some sports, so this period is very crucial. It is especially so for the Sec 1s who are to go into C division next year but may not have prior training so you'd have to build up your foundation well, and to reach zonal/national levels in a year is no exactly an easy feat.

No, family trips are still possible. You just have to time them. We're still doing family trips.
