      friendship:
Initially posted to Dunman High. Dunman High has a very nice environment and in terms of traffic is better. However, very disappointed that COP lowers by 2 points. Because of this we took the risk to appeal NJC and RGS.

      Thanks for the info.

All the very best to your DD.

Anyone knows whatโ€™s the cut-off point for third languages this year(French, Japanese and German)?

          jtoh:

Have students actually heard back from schools telling them they've been rejected or is it that students haven't heard from schools at all? It's been the weekend and holidays so schools might start calling tomorrow if students haven't heard yet? Not giving false hope here. Just wondering.
jtoh - so far no successful DSA Appeal cases plus anomaly of super high vacancies at one of the top IPs offered to S1 posting appeal cases could only mean that the schools are releasing the original slots reserved for DSA appeal cases to these S1 posting appeal cases.

then why you accept ACSI in the first place if RI is your dream school?

As we have said, so far no DSA appeal case has received approval to transfer. I am sure if there is any, some KSP uncle or Aunty will post here. MOE directive of no transfer for DSA CO cases seems to be strictly adhered this year. We know it's tough for you to accept but our advice is please move on and be happy in ACSI. Go refer to DSA Appeal 2011 thread.

This year the DSA transfer gap has been closed by MOE. Try transferring at end of year 2 to RI if you still keen then. ACSI is top school too! Aunty wishes you all the best in your new school!

Don't be sad. Even if RI appeal doesn't come through, it might be a blessing in disguise. Anyway, ACSI is a very good IP school too. Very well rounded. You may perform far better in ACSI than in RI.

                        Thanks for the advise ๐Ÿ™‚
I'm just voicing my thought here... RI Said they would reveal results b4 xmas. Latest by 28DEC aka Tomorrow. If they are delaying the results so long rather than adhering to MOE's shockingly sudden strictness in this rule, they probably are having a heated(maybe not:P) discussion with MOE right?

Anyways I am definitely Happy with ACS considering it has IB which is very good. To top it all off ACS is the best IB school in the world...
